With the look Trey was giving Zack and myself, I was scared shitless. But, I guess being the captain of the football team, Zack didn't look like he had an ounce of fear in him. Me on the other hand, I was mentally preparing myself for what was gonna happen next — Zack was about to get knocked the fuck out and get that smirk wiped off his face.

"I'm not gonna repeat myself again." Trey had his fist balled up and he was shaking. In another world, you would think he was about to shift into a werewolf, but I'm just gonna be thankful we in reality right now, otherwise, he'd have killed us on the spot.

"If you must know Trey," Zack started, leaning closer to me. "I was just making sure Anika here got the right directions to my party this weekend. Now that she does, I can leave now. See ya later, babe." He turned and winked at me before jogging to his car.

I mentally rolled my eyes at him. Thanks a lot, dumbass.

"So, we just gonna go, too. We'll see y'all tonight!" Thank the Lord for Michelle! She grabbed me by my arm and we hopped in her car. I'm surprised either of us didn't break our ankles in the heels we had on.

Once we neared her BMW, I took the chance to look behind me and caught a glance of Trey with the 'This conversation isn't over' look. I sighed. This should be a fun night. Not the sarcasm.

Three hours later and I was still in Michelle's house prepping myself. I had to look on point tonight if I was gonna cut back just a little of the words I was sure was gonna come out of Tremaine's mouth. Though, let's be completely honest. His cheating ass has no reason to even step to me with this bullshit, and if he goes off I'm giving him and earful tonight, and maybe a sl-

"Anika!" Michelle yelled, bringing me back from the ranting I was doing in my head. "Are you even listening to a word comin' outta my mouth?!"

"Huh? Say that again." I probably should've been paying attention. Oops.

"I was saying that the Matt texted me and said they was gonna be here in less than five." She said, messing with the curls in her hair.

"Oh alright." I looked at myself in her full-length mirror. My hair was in big curls and I had on a red, skin-tight dress that hugged my somewhat curvy figure. I had on a minimal amount of makeup and a clear coat of lip gloss. With the way I'm looking, Trey will have no choice but to be focused on what I'm wearing tonight, plus, with what I have underneath, the Zack situation will be forgotten.

As we both we're putting on heels, you could hear the front door slamming shut and two pairs of feet climbing up the stairs.

We hurried up and grabbed our purses and rushed to Michelle's bedroom door, and pulled it open. There they were. I would be lying my ass off if I said they didn't look like they dropped from heaven. It was obvious Matt and Trey went and got their fades touched up. To say they were dressed so casually, they still looked...classy? If that's the word to use for what they were wearing.

Trey gave me an appreciative nod at what I was wearing and grabbed my arm. What's with the damn manhandling?!

"You look good baby girl, but don't think I forgot about earlier." His voice was low and his accent...Jesus. He pulled back and licked his lips. "You ready?" He looked over at Matt who was looking like he was ready to get Michelle out of what she was wearing.

"Ya son, let's go." We walked outside and Trey opened the door for us to get in, while Michelle and Matt climbed in the front seats.

The ride to Antoine's was quiet but comfortable. When we got there, Matt parked and we walked inside, where the waiter escorted us to our table.
