Guess who's lucky today? Not me, but probably someone out there. Who knows.

It's Monday morning. Oh, just my favorite day of the week, of course. I get to go outside the house and expose myself to the dangers of the world, attend the most wonderful school in town, and uhh yeah, basically hell until class ends and I get to do whatever I want.

"Your chocolate milk's getting cold, Keira. Stop daydreaming and get your butt to school." Aunt Betty said.

I pouted. "I wasn't even daydreaming! And chill, school doesn't start until 8."

"Well, It's 7:50. And I believe that we're out of ice in the freezer, so I'm gonna have to make some later on."

Pff- I can't even.. Wait, what?! 7:50? I'll never make it in time! I immediately drank my chocolate milk and grabbed my bag. "Bye Aunt Betty!"

"Bye! Come home early, alright?" Aunt Betty said as she shook her head slightly.

I ran as quickly as I could. Great, late for school again. If I had a dollar for every time I get late, I'd be a millionaire by now.

School's not that far from where I live, so I'd rather walk than ride the school bus. But at the moment, I'm running to get there. Well, it's not my fault I constantly get those weird dreams. I don't even know dreams could be that weird.

I ran so fast, I forgot to catch my breath. The school gate was still open. Yes! I thought to myself and immediately went inside. And just then, the school bell rang. Great, I'll never get to class on time!

Just then, when I was about to approach the Senior High building, a figure of a boy was climbing up the windowsills until he reached the 3rd floor. He knocked on the window and it opened, then he went in and closed it.

I had to blink multiple times to process what just happened. Then I remembered I was late, so I rushed to class.

Our school really liked naming class sections and I got put in to Amethyst.

I opened the door. Turns out, everyone had just greeted our Homeroom teacher. Some of 'em giggled and snickered when they saw me. Great. First day of the school year and I screwed up.

"Ahh yes, Miss Rossellini, would you please have a seat?" Our Homeroom teacher said. Oh my god, thank youuu! This year's HR teacher is Sir Arthur.

As I went to my seat, one of my classmates, Lavinia smirked and said, "Wow, Keira.. You're so early for tomorrow." And the others laughed at that.

"Quit it, Cruella de Vil." someone said. It was my seatmate, Aldo. He had been my classmate since the First Grade and at times, I see him as a really great friend because we share lunches and help each other out sometimes.

"Mind your own beeswax, baldy." Oh yeah. And he's bald as well.

Sir Arthur told the class to keep quiet. And the class became silent right away. Ahh, how admirable. He then started to discuss about the Opening Program. It happens every year.

I looked down on my desk. When I felt a slight tap on my shoulder. It was from Aldo. I looked at him and he asked if I was alright, which I replied, yes. But I wasn't really. Suddenly, the crazy monkey from earlier came to mind.

That was weird. Was he from my batch? Maybe I'm imagining things. No one could have ever done that without getting away with it.

I looked out the window and sighed. Another long year, awesome. Let's try to survive this, shall we? I tugged on the sleeve of my sweater. I still don't know where my parents are. They did say that they'd come back after their trip to the Philippines. But, it's been 8 months ever since their stay in that Asian country. Did.. something bad happen? Ughh I sure hope not.
