Glynn's pov
I walk down the hallway frantically searching every room for Legolas. Where is he? After he had left the dungeon I had stood watching him leave, frozen with shock and sadness. I should've gone after him. Right then. Not ten minutes later. I can tell I really upset him, and the guilt is slowly sinking in.
I walk into the kitchen and look around. Nothing.
I search every hallway. Nothing.
I go into the throne room. Thranduil. Sitting stiffly in his large wooden chair. His features remain unchanged as I walk up to him. I try my best to hide tears that are threatening to flow. To my surprise he seems to be hiding his own emotions behind his serious glare. I nod my head in respect.
"My lord," I greet. He nods.
"Glynnii." He responds, then he stands up and walks in front of me, starring intently. "Do you love him as much as he loves you?" He asks, his voice low. I gulp.
"Where is he?" I demand, trying even harder to hold back the tears.
"Do you love him, Glynnii?" He repeats. I meet his gaze.
"I will answer your question if you answer mine." I tell him. Thranduil sighs and folds his hands behind his back.
"I am alone. He left. I do not know where he is." He says simply. I raise my eyebrows.
"What?!" I exclaim. "You haven't sent the guard after him?" He sighs again.
"Glynnii-" He starts.
Heat rise to my cheeks as I cut him off. "How could you just let him go out by himself alone?! He could be anywhere!"
"Silence!" He orders and I instantly shut my mouth.. "Please answer my question." He whispers.
"I do love him." I say, my voice cracking. "That's why we need to find him." I feel a tear slide down my cheek. Thranduil looks at me again, and I see his own sorrow in his wide sapphire eyes.
"I'm sorry this had to happen." He says. He looks up again. "He said you rejected him." I shake my head.
"No, he said he wanted to leave with me so we could be together, and I said I couldn't leave. But now, I'm thinking otherwise." I say before turning and running out of Thranduil's Hall, ready to find Legolas.
