\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Author's POV~
Y/n L/n dully looked at the window of her train cart. She was waiting for what was to face her, through the Alps, as her Grandmother put it. She had left her home country of Germany because of the Nazi regime. She was hiding out. No she wasn't Jewish, but her family opposed the party and were in grave danger because so. She was to stay with man named Vash and his younger sister Lily. She turned to the conductor that was passing by.
"How long till we are in Switzerland?" She asked as she cringes as her German accent showed.
"In half an hour." The kind conductor said as he walked away to tend to the others in the train cart

The train had made a stop. This was Y/n's stop. She grabbed her sole suitcase that held a s/f/c dress, pictures, and a stationary. She walked outside and say on a bench waiting for whoever was to pick her up. She waited for about ten minutes until the crowd cleared up and saw a man and a girl with similar haircut except the girl had a bow and she was holding a sign that was decorated with bunnies and in sparkling purple letters "Y/n L/n" was read. The girl ran to Y/n and hugged her. Y/n was surprised but she hugged back. The man came and said.
"I'm Vash and this is Lily. I will take your suitcase." He said with a stern look.
"No, I'm fine I can carry my suitcase-"
"I will carry your suitcase." He repeated himself and Y/n finally caught a glance at Vash. He had beautiful green eyes with his blonde hair it just made it perfect. Vash grabs the suitcase out of Y/n's hands and Lily leads her to the car and she sits
Y/n in the back with her.The car ride was quiet. Except everyone have each other looks. Vash would look at Y/n, Y/n would look at Vash and Lily would look at Y/n. When they made it to the house, Y/n again tried to get her suitcase, but Vash grabbed the suitcase.
"What's in jour suitcase?" He asked and Y/n felt a but violated of privacy of him asking you that.
"Well I have a dress, some photographs, a notebook, and some undergarments." Y/n say, but so regrets that she just said "undergarments" to a man. Vash and Y/n soon got red and Lily giggled. They walked away in silence to house.
"You will be sleeping Lily's room. Dinner will be served." Vash said as he exited the room and left Y/n and Lily. Y/n turned to Lily and smiled.
"We hadn't formally met. I'm Y/n
L/n.""I'm Lily, don't vorry about my big bruder, he'll like you." Lily says and
Y/n soon tried to figure out what else to say."Well I really liked your bunnies you put on your sign!" Y/n says as she shines a bright smile.
"Thank you, but you should thank my big bruder since he drew the bunnies for the sign." Y/n giggle at the thought of a stern man like Vash drawing adorable but good bunnies, but as Lily said Y/n decide to do just that. Thank him. Y/n walked to there where Lily said was the kitchen. You found him but with two plates of food.
"Hey, I wanted to thank you for helping my family out and for drawing those adorable bunnies."
"No problem.... Here's your food." Vash said blandly and handed Y/n a plate.
"Hey! Where's the third plate for Lily?!" Y/n shouted and Vash turned to her.
"This plate is for Lily." He said every so blandly.
"So where's your plate?" Y/n asked curiously wondering if his food was in the kitchen and she just missed. But Vash just looked at her with his green eyes and walked away. He doesn't have food? Y/n thought and she returned to the table where she had left Lily and saw Vash sitting next to her—without a plate of food. Y/n sat on the other side of Lily—with her plate of food. They ate in silence as Y/n kept glancing at Vash as he just sat there—without food. Till the silence was broken.
"Big bruder vhy don't you have food?" She asked with utmost sincerity. Vash grunted and smiled.
"I ate before we picked up Y/n." He smiled and she smiled back and came back to eating. Y/n glanced at him with tears almost falling. He noticed and his expression softened.
"May I be excuse?" Y/n asked as she suddenly got up from her sit.
"Yes you may." Vash said. Y/n said as she got up and speed walk up to the bathroom.

Remorse hit Y/n square in the nose like a train. The same train she took to get through the Alps and here in Switzerland. She had stayed strong on the train ride here, on the car ride to Mr. Vash's house, during the dinner, but she broke down until now. She cried, but she cried quietly so no one could hear her. She felt as she doesn't belong here and Vash gives her an hourly reminder.
This is the beginning of this story of outsiders, love, and fear. Will she be safe? Will she FEEL safe, at a place that is unfamiliar to her?
