After waiting about fives hours after eating the delicious zopf bread and jam that Vash made for you and Lily. You felt your tummy growl. You hunched over your stomach to muffle the sound, put Vash noticed.

"You must be hungry already?" He said as he set aside the newspaper he was reading and left your view until he reappeared with his pink frilly apron.

"Here's the apron, now don't screw this up." Vash deadpanned as he handed you the apron. "Ek! I'm finally going to cook! Oma[grandma]will be so proud of me!" You thought as you tied the apron strings and practically skipped to the kitchen.

"Alright so what should I make... What should I make? Oh! I know I should make some wurst!" You clapped as you had your eureka moment. But I'll—" you thought as you walked over to the ice box to see if they have the ingredients.

"Nope, nope..." You said as you move meats and cheese around in the ice box carefully since, you know how Vash is. "Nope and nope. Looks like I have to go to the market." Closing the door you shout to Vash.

"I need to go to market! Is that alright vith jou?!" You waited about five minutes when you heard the answer.

"Ja you can. Take Lily with you, she wants to be with you!" He shouted back. "Alright so I need to grab some of the money mein bruder gave me—"

"Y/N! There's is some money on the counter that you can use!" He shout as you were about to dig through your purse to find the money that your bruder gave you.

"Okay danke!" You shout back. You turned your gaze on the counter to see a couple of Swiss francs. Like magic Lily appeared with a little purple pouch on her side.

"So are we going to the market?" She asked. You awed at her adorable voice. You just wanted to pinch her cheeks and coo to her like a pigeon.

"Yes, now let's go so I can prepare of the best wurst you're ever going to taste in your life!" You shouted as your grab Lily's hand and walked out the back door.

Tightly holding Lily's small hand we walk down on the somewhat desert market place.

"Hm. Maybe today's just a slow day here—" You started when your eyes drifted toward a trio of men. One with brown hair, and you couldn't tell what he's eye color was since his eyes were closed. Another with black hair and solemn brown eyes. The last one seemed familiar. He had blonde hair, slicked back a familiar way and strong blue eyes.

"The blonde one seems... To familiar... They're wearing soldier uniforms too. This is quite odd—"

"Y/N! Y/N are jou okay?!" Lily yelled as she pulled your arm down towards her. You quickly look away and look down to Lily's adorable green eyes.

"Yes I'm fine... We should move ahead—" You looked from the corner of your eye. You swore you saw the blonde one look at you but you kept moving. "That was extremely odd..."

"Alright Lily, so we need about two kilograms of Schweinefleisch Schulter[pork shoulder] one kilogram of Rindfleisch[beef]... Do we have Muskatnuss[nutmeg] and Ingwer[ginger]?" You asked. Lily shook her head.

"Nein, we don't have ginger but we do have nutmeg at home!" She said as you clicked your tongue, trying to figure out what to do next how.

"How about we go find the pork shoulder first?" You decided as you bend to Lily's level. She jumped up and down in absolute excitement.

"Yay! I'm so excited!" You chuckle at the little girl's never ending enthusiasm. You looked once more towards where the three men were. They weren't there anymore. You sighed and went over to the butcher.

The butcher was a older man with mostly black hair with some streaks of white hair. He had a stained white apron and a white hat to match.

"Hallo."

"Hello how many I help you?" The old butcher asked as he cleaned his knife with a blood stained tag.

"Could I have two kilos of pork shoulder and a kilo of beef?" You asked. He smiled as he put his knife on the table. You watched attentively as he put the red meats on the metal scale, soon after he wrapped it in brown paper.

"Here you go lass." He handed you two packages of meat. You grabbed Lily's hand and as soon as you turned around you bumped into the person behind you. Dropping the meats you saw who it was.

   The blonde.

It was the blonde you saw earlier he was looking right at you. He looked down at the two packages, kneeling down. Out of instinct you swooped down and grabbed it before he could. You quickly grabbed Lily's hand and speed walked away.

"Come one Lily, let's go." You said as you pulled somewhat hard on the thin girl with a grip like iron around her small wrist.

As you walked away the blonde looked at you. He looked at every part of you. Your hair, your eyes, your skin, your dress... He also thought you looked familiar. As he thought if all the possible place he could've met you his Italian companion grabbed his well built arm.

"Luddy? What-a are you-a looking at? Oh~ you-a finally became-a interest in-a girl?" He scoffed as he pulled his arm away from the affectionate Italian

"Shut up Feliciano!"
