Ch 15: The Prolonged Truth

   "..."

   "..."

   "..."

   "Alright spit it out you idiot!" Vash yells. As he notices that no one (Karl) is going to speak the truth. I look at my brother. My poor brother beaten up by Vash. It must hurt a lot since he's pretty violent—I mean strong. I swear if Karl didn't do anything I won't forgive Vash.

Karl shook his swollen head as he hung from the tree by Vash's blade.

"...Hehehe." He creepily chuckled. That's not my brother. "[Name], [Name] wouldn't you like to hear the truth from your... lover?" He pants.

"Karl he isn't my," I cringe, thinking about how he said the word 'lover'.

   "Then what do you call what just happen dipshit?" Karl fires. Vash was about to raise his fist, but I placed a hand on his chest.

   "Don't listen to him Vash." I looked down, bitting my lip. "I just want to hear the truth."

Vash looked down, thinking. He thought and thought until he brought his head up. "[Name]... you're engaged."

   "What!" I squeak. Quickly placing a hand over my mouth.

   "Yeah [Name]... to me." Vash smirked as he mouthed to Karl 'fuck you'. "We have to go. Now!" He yells then throws me over his shoulder.

   "What the hell Vash! Put me down!" I yell as once again I pound my fist on his back like I did a couple of chapter ago.

   "Lily! Get hers and I's stuff. We have to run." He says as he starts to make a run for it. I was still cursing him. What the actual hell is happening?! As Vash and I were making our escape Karl ripped his shirt from the blade and started to run towards us.

"Oh you guys won't get far!" He yelled as he sprinted towards you two. "AND NO WAY IN HELL IS SHE GOING TO BE ENGAGED TO YOU! SHE'S ENGAGED TO LUDDY!" He yells. Luddy? Luddy the kid I lived next door to? The kid that became a Nazi youth? Oh god no...
