Chapter 5

NAMJOON'S POV
Me and all the other boys sat in the main living room with Laura. We needed to explain to her why she was here, what she needed to do. "So, first off, you're gonna need to know.... the backstory." I said. "Ever since 6 years ago, me and the guys had this business of sorts. We got money by... helping people..." It wasn't a lie. We helped people with their dirty work in exchange for a good deal of cash. But Laura obviously wanted more detail.
"How exactly were you helping people?" She asked. I sigh. I didn't feel like explaining, so I gave V a look. He nods.
"When other people made their own enemies and they wanted to get rid of those people but didn't want to do it themselves, we came in. So, to put it simply, we killed, kidnapped, and robbed others for money." Tae said. Laura looked disgusted, and I don't blame her.
"How could you do something like that!?! That's horrible! How come you haven't gotten caught yet, if you've been doing this for that long?" She asked.
"Because we're good at our job." J-Hope said. Laura stayed silent, so I continued.
"So, one day this guy needed us to get rid of his sister because she betrayed him or something, so that's what we did. We killed her. So when he owed us a great deal of money, he left the country, and there was no way we could track him down. We've been looking for him for 6 years, until finally, just a few months ago, I hacked into airport and figured out he just returned to the United States. Bad move for him. So, after a while, I researched him enough to get his phone number, with that I made some calls pretending to be him, and got ahold of some codes, you know, some other complicated stuff... Point is, I've figured out that he is officially living in Miami, Florida. So now that we know he's here, we're going to kill him."
Laura was completely silent. I think I scared her. But, she looks really concerned, like she's processing the information, but something isn't right. She must be catching on. I feel bad for her to find out like this, but I didn't really have a choice.

LAURA'S POV
      I was trying to sort out everything Namjoon just told me, and I began to figure out why I had anything to do with this. 6 years ago... A man wanted to kill his sister....

LAURA'S FLASHBACK, 6 years ago
      "DIANE! YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME, YOU NEED TO- NO OF COURSE NOT! I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE YOU!" I heard my dad yell into the phone. Suddenly he stopped screaming, and I could tell the call was over. I was in my room, with the door closed, hiding under my covers, yet I could still hear their conversation clearly. I didn't know why he was always arguing with his sister. Me and Lucas fight occasionally, but never as harsh as my dad did with my aunt. It made me sad to see two siblings break apart like this. Every time I asked him about why they were arguing, it was always the same forced smile, the same answer.
      "Don't worry about it, Laura. It's okay, me and your aunt will work this out." He always said. But they never did.
      "William, I can't take this anymore! All this constant fighting with Diane is driving me and the kids crazy! Especially Lucas, he's so young, he's too young to listen to all of this!" My mom had said.
      "Grace, you don't understand!"
      "THAT'S BECAUSE YOU WON'T EXPLAIN!! YOU WONT TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON! I'M YOUR WIFE I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW!"
      My aunt and dad's fighting led to issues between my two parents. Even so, my parents loved each other, even when they argued they made up every time. But not my dad and his sister, he started leaving the house so often, coming home late....
      Then one day, my aunt and dad stopped talking, she stopped visiting, she wouldn't even text me, which was strange because we were extremely close. I asked him why, when she would come back.
      He said she wasn't going to.
      Diane was dead, my aunt was dead.
      It was all so sudden, I never understood. And just 3 days after her death... Dad was gone too. He never came back. My mother got depressed, so did Lucas, I was the only one even barely holding up...

LAURA'S  POV, present time
      I realize the man that deceived these men was my father. They killed my beloved aunt. They ruined my life, my mother, my brother.... They are the reason my father left... And now they need to kill him.
"What's the man's name? The one you need to kill?" I asked, refusing to believe it.
Namjoon hesitated. "Do you really have to ask? You already know, don't you?" He asked me. I needed it to be confirmed.
" I ASKED FOR THE MAN'S NAME!" I yell. They all looked shocked, besides Jimin. He was smiling evilly. I couldn't help but be angry, they didn't understand how important this was to me, how knowing this information will change my life. I was breathing hard.
"Calm down, Laura. You do know you're in no position to speak to us that way, right? I think you're forgetting what situation you're in." Namjoon said. I stayed silent. He smiled. "His name is William Almanza."
