LAURA'S POV
After continuously apologizing to my dad about how I was just mad and shocked, that I really just wanted to catch up and talk with him, he finally let me back in the house. Veronica was here, so he was acting sweet and happy that I came back. I got into the house. They luckily showed me around and I payed close attention to everything. So far I've found three main entrances, a front door and two back doors, and of course a ton of windows everywhere in case. It was all very spacious, very clean. They took me up to the second floor to meet my baby brother...
He was sound asleep in a crib, drooling a bit. He was adorable. He had a light caramel brown color for hair, like his mother. His tiny hands and feet were so cute. I stared at him for some moments before asking to pick him up. As gently as I could, I picked him up from the crib and held him in my arms. He looked so sweet, this poor child. I started to tear up, not wanting to face the fact that I would be killing his parents, his family... Hopefully not him too...
I didn't want to get attached. I couldn't. I decided to try to see the whole place and gather information while the baby was still asleep so I wouldn't do any bonding. We left his room and explored around. We talked along the way, mostly about work. I figured out that both William and Veronica were doing international businesses, so they always worked together. I figured that's how they met too, through work. If they had those successful careers and this house, it was obvious they were rich. What was my father still hiding from? I started to get suspicious, thinking maybe the payment wasn't the only reason he fled from the country, from his life... What if there was something else going on, something deeper, something worse? If the guys didn't tell me before, there's a good chance that they won't tell me this time if I ask. If there's other things going on, I might need to find out on my own.
I never saw any other people in the house, so I decided to start asking questions. "So, um, how do you guys keep this place so neat and clean? It's huge, there's no way you could possibly do it all on your own." I said cheerfully, edging toward the subject.
Veronica laughed. "Of course we don't, we have a few maids come in twice a week to keep things tidy. We already have so many responsibilities, we would never find the time to housekeep." She said. I noticed that she gradually had become more friendly as time passed. Maybe she was just in a cranky mood when we first met, perhaps because I interrupted whatever they were doing... But by now she wasn't that bad. My father was the irritating one, he looked so frantic and cautious with every word he spoke.
"Oh, right, of course." I said while chuckling. "So, what days are they around? Just wondering, in case I visit again one day I wouldn't want to come while the maids are cleaning up." I said, quickly thinking of an excuse for my nosyness. The minute I mentioned anything about returning, I received a look from my father, a rather intimidating one that didn't have a clear message.
"Just on Tuesdays and Thursday's while me and Adam, I mean William, are at work." She briefly explained. I made a mental note of it. The mission would have to take place on other days of the week, there's no need to kill more people unnecessarily. I nod. We all sat down in the living room once again, drinking a warm tea Veronica had just made.
I cleared my throat. "You two must work very hard to earn such good, um, salaries... Yeah..." I said awkwardly. My stupid brain catches up and realizes that the mission would have to be on the weekend since they're always at work, so any maids and babysitters wouldn't be there anyway. Now all I need to know is about security. How was I supposed to get that info without making this sound like an interrogation?
"Yes, international business is a fine career." William said.
"Right. So, I guess you two must be sort of, um, famous maybe, in that industry..." I said. I was getting worse at the whole 'innocently questioning' act every time.
"I guess you could say that." Veronica said with a smile. "We've occasionally been in papers and articles, the news a few times in Europe, nothing too extreme."
I nod. I didn't know how to approach the right subjects. I guess I just needed to dive into it. "What about security? From what I've read, I think people with some reputation have higher risks of, you know, being in danger and stuff..." Shit. Shit shit shit that was fucking terrible. My dad began to look suspicious.
"Yes... It's good to know you've been doing your research..." He said slowly, eyeing me. "We have pretty good security systems, if that's what your wondering. Alarms, cameras, the works."
"What about body guards?" I ask. I really hoped that they wouldn't suspect me of anything, but I was getting impatient and I really didn't know what else to do.
Veronica laughed. "God no, how weird would it be to have people around the borders of your house? No, it's not like we attract giant crowds wherever we go, those are the people who actually need guards with them." She said. I sighed with relief. I had gotten most of the information I needed, I couldn't really think of anything else. Before I even could, my dad started wrapping things up.
"It's getting late, you have a long drive ahead of you aswell. We wouldn't want your mom to worry either. You should probably be on your way." He said. "I'll walk you out."
I said my goodbyes to Veronica. Just then, a baby started yelling for his mom upstairs, so she hurried to attend to him, leaving me and William alone. He looked at me seriously. "Is Grace the one telling you two question me non stop? I bet she knows I'm here, doesn't she? You obviously told her and now she told you to interrogate me, I should've known..." My dad said, beginning to rant.
"Mom has nothing to do with this visit!" I snap at him. "Is it so bad that your daughter wanted to see you? I'm just curious about my dad and his life, what's so bad about that? Does there always need to be some sort of alternative meaning to everyhting?" I ask. His eyes soften and he looks down.
"I'm sorry Laura." He said. We stand there in silence as the first few drops of rain come down. It would be pouring soon enough. After a few moments, he suddenly hugged me gently. "Thank you for visiting." He said. I sighed and lightly hugged him back, burying my face in his shoulder. He smelled the same as he did forever ago. The rain started to pour harder and I knew I had to go, but I just didn't want to let go of him again. "Listen..." He said, pulling away. "I appreciate you coming, and believe it or not I did enjoy catching up with my daughter, but I don't think you should return.  I don't want my past coming back to me." He said quietly. I look at him with disbelief in my eyes, hoping for a moment he would take back what he said. He didn't. I sighed and nodded. This was good, it would be easier to get the mission done if things were like this...
"Okay." I said. I fought the urge to call him dad again, but it felt so unnatural. After a few last moments, I smiled sadly. "Bye da-..." I hesitate. I wouldn't say that word. "Goodbye."
I turned around and briskly walked to the car. It was pouring hard now, and I hoped that since it was, Jimin and Namjoon wouldn't be able to tell my tears apart from the rain.

YOONGI'S POV
Before even discussing the situation with Namjoon, I dialed the number I've been waiting to call.
"Suga." Said the voice on the line. I already knew he was smirking. "What do you have to update me on?"
"We're gonna need to raise our price." I said, getting straight to the point.
"What the fuck?! Why?" He asked harshly. He was already pissed.
"Listen, our financial situation is really bad right now, and it's getting worse. We're really close to finishing what we started, so please don't make us stop it all because you won't pay full price."
"Last time we spoke, we agreed full price was $100,000." He snapped. I sighed.
"We're not raising it that much, just up to $400,000." I said.
"That's $300,000 more dollars I'm spending on this fucking mission. No way in hell. You take my offer or you get nothing." He said sternly.
"Well you don't have enough information to complete it on your own. Me and the guys already know where he lives, and right now Laura is heading back from his house. She has all the info we need to complete this. You have nothing. If you want to call it off, fine, but you'll never get rid of William. Not without us. He'll continue to be a problem, an obstacle, a burden. Just agree to our offer and he'll be out of your way forever. You'll never have to worry about that bastard." I said, keeping my voice down.
The other line was silent for a few moments of tension. Finally, the client spoke again. "Yoongi, you've always been quite the negotiator, haven't you?" He asked with a chuckle. "Alright. A whole fucking $400,000 dollars. If you disappoint me, I swear you'll be sorry."
I smiled bitterly. "It's a pleasure doing business with you, Kwon Ji-Yong."
