I woke up in the middle of the night, restless, anxious, trapped. I ran out, to my only escape, my favorite place.
A light breeze, blowing through the air, caressing my shoulders.
Already calming.
I could see, from the distance, the calm water, reflecting the full moon as black mountains rose around it.
The ocean seemed to glitter under the stars reflection.
I've been staring at the edge of the water, searching, burning with curiosity.
Looking at the surface of the ocean was enjoyable, soothing and comforting. However, I wasn't satisfied.
My heart desired more. Adventure. Thrill. Risks.
These words were the only things I wanted. I was curious. Curious about what's going on under. After all, what would an ocean be, without a monster lurking in its deep darkness.
I took a deep breath.
One step back from the edge.
Two steps forward.
I jumped.
I could feel my muscles tense up as the chilly wind tickled my skin, the rush of adrenaline that followed.
My heart skipped a beat as I touched the salty freezing water, but a wonderful peaceful feeling overwhelmed me soon after.
The smell. Nothing is more memorable than the smell of the open sea, the feel of the starry sky, when I let my soul emerge and my spirit fly into the darkness of the night.
Free.
As the water wraps around me, and the little fishes swim beside me, I dive.
Finally, I see what I was eager to see. I see what goes on underwater. Peace. Magic. Untouched beauty.
The dim light of the moon and the stars highlighted how mesmerizing it is.
I fell in love.
With the serene brutality.
With the golden silence.
With the scary charm.
It became my real world.
I let my body flow to the surface.
I just lay on back, observing.
Satisfied at last.
I was lost, a hundred thoughts chasing each other in my head, until these golden hours.
The sea became more lovely as shades of orange and pink blended into the sky. It felt warm.
The water, quite, majestic, offered an amazing spectacle.
Luminous, still not clear.

Mysterious.
I was still curious.
