Jesse never really labeled himself as a jealous type of person. He thought it was silly to be jealous of someone; childish in a way. He didn't want to play the "mine" game like a toddler. He could share, he was a mature adult.

However, it was a different story when it came to Lukas. Lukas was his, and his alone.

Who was Lukas? Lukas was the sun. Lukas was the moon. Lukas was the air that allowed people to breathe. Lukas was the fresh water that flowed through rivers, giving people drinkable water. Lukas was the atmosphere. Lukas was everything...

to Jesse.

The "term" Lukas was to everyone else was Jesse's boyfriend. And he was a very possessive boyfriend. He would get jealous over the smallest things.

Their friend Petra would touch Lukas's arm;

Jesse would wrap his arms protectively around Lukas's waist.

Someone would look at Lukas in that way;

Jesse would instantly pull him into a kiss.

Someone would simply brush against Lukas;

Jesse would pull him closer because absolutely no one was allowed to touch Lukas, unless he gives them permission.

Maybe Jesse was being the slightest bit ridiculous. Lukas is a person, not a thing. But Jesse knew very well that Lukas was a person.

It's just that particular person belonged to him. Lukas was his and no one else's. He never wanted him to belong to someone else. But if he did, Jesse would be heart broken. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if Lukas wanted to belong to someone else.

"Jesse, you're being a little silly," Lukas once told Jesse. "I know that I'm yours."

"That's not the point," Jesse replied. When Lukas asked what the point was, Jesse only shook his head. It was just a mental thing he automatically did. Everyone had to know that Lukas was his. If they didn't, he felt like he'd go insane. It's just how he was.

People needed to understand that Lukas Porter belonged to Jesse Oswalt. If they didn't, Jesse would tell them, in whatever way he needed to.

One time at a club, Jesse was sitting at the bar with Lukas, they were having a wonderful time. Joking, laughing, smiling...it was just Lukas and Jesse time. Then, Aiden came up to Lukas and started to flirt with him.

"Hey there, pretty boy," Aiden said, his voice smooth and low. Lukas looked up at him and frowned in the slightest.

"Um, hi," He murmured and looked back to Jesse. Jesse however, had his gaze locked on Aiden, his green eyes hard.

"Can I buy you a drink?" Aiden asked, leaning against the counter.

"He already has one," Jesse snarled through his gritted teeth.

"I'd like to buy him another," Aiden replied flatly, not taking his eyes off of Lukas.

"Look, Aide-" Lukas started, but Jesse was already on his feet, glaring at Aiden.

"You should leave. Now," He snapped, his fists balling up tightly.

"Why should I?" Aiden asked, finally taking his eyes off Lukas to look at Jesse, an amused look on his face.

"Because I don't think you'd pick up many people with a bloody nose and a broken arm."

"Are you threatening me?" Aiden started laughing, then standing up straight.

"Jesse, please." Lukas begged, jumping up and grabbing Jesse's bicep. "Don't, please, he's not worth it."

"No," Jesse mumbled, glancing at Lukas. "You're mine. He needs to know that."

"Jesse, I know it, please don't-"

"No, Lukas," The blond haired lad interjected, turning his head and looking at Lukas in the eyes. "He needs to know."

"C'mon, Jesse!" Aiden taunted, a wide slightly drunken smile on his face." Are you going to fight me or not?"

Jesse gently pushed Lukas away from him and pulled off his sweatshirt. He looked at Aiden and clenched his jaw, his green eyes dark and angry.

"Throw the first punch, then." He murmured, tossing Lukas his sweatshirt. Aiden shrugged and launched himself at Jesse. Jesse was quick to move out of the way, and Aiden, obviously a bit tipsy, stumbled. Jesse grinned in triumph and tackled him to the ground, pinning him down with a grunt of effort. Aiden looked up at him, a pained expression on his face. Jesse stared down at him, his gaze hard and his mouth pressed in a tight line. He leaned down to Aiden's ear slowly, breathing heavily through his nose.

"He's mine," he hissed. "You stay away from him, because he belongs to me," he pulled back and glared down at Aiden as he stood up and brushed himself off. He walked back to Lukas, who was watching him with wide, worried eyes.

"You're not hurt, are you?" Lukas asked, scurrying over to Jesse and handing him back his sweatshirt.

"No Lukas, I'm fine," Jesse said gently, slipping into the article of clothing.

"Lets get out of here, yeah?"

"Yeah," Lukas whispered, pressing against Jesse's side as people watched them walk towards the exit.

"That's it?" a voice called, making Jesse turn his head. Aiden had stood up and was glaring at them. "I thought you were going to break my nose," he said in a mocking tone.

"I think I'll just let you off the hook on this one," Jesse called back, and he left, Lukas holding his hand. He didn't want to get into an actual fight tonight.

"You're freakin' insane, you know that?" Lukas muttered as they walked out to their car.

"You make me insane, my dear Lukas," Jesse told him, his voice full of fondness. Before he let Lukas slip into the passenger seat, he pulled him into a kiss. It was sweet, slow, and Lukas practically melted into the taller male, his arms making their way around Jesse's neck.

"I love you Jesse," He whispered, nudging there noses together. "No matter how over-protective you are."

"I love you more Lukas," Jesse hummed softly, nuzzling his nose against Lukas's cute little button nose. "And I will always be over-protective, because you're mine, and no one else's."

"I know. I'll always be yours... and you'll always be mine?"

"Forever and always." Jesse murmured and pressed another quick, gentle kiss to Lukas's perfect lips.

After that, they went home and went to bed. Jesse liked to remind himself every day. He'd wake up, look in the mirror, and smiled. A wide, happy smile. And then he'd mutter, for himself to hear,

"he's mine."
