Everything known is written within it. But does that make it true?
Whenever you read something about history, or the way something happened on the TV or in the newspaper never just believe it. It's what they want.
The Templars want to force control over everything. So they changed everything to the way it 'should have' happened. Now you are probably thinking "who are you talking about?". Well their more common name is the Knights Templar. My organization has been fighting them for more than thousands of years, although they didn't go by the same names. Templars have been a part of almost every large power struggle in history: The Crusades, Renaissance, Revolution, the Wild West, and World Wars to name a few.
They almost always have the upper hand in power, numbers, and wealth, which allows them to control media. They altered history so that people don't, couldn't, know the truth. Until the technology of the Animus came into play. It allows the user to view the memories of their ancestors. It shows us history the way it really happened. The truth. We are trying to change that, to allow people to actually know what happened in the past.
We are the Assassins. And we know the truth.
