Being one of the three highest ranked assassins in the guild was an amazing feeling, but so was finally being able to use Eagle Vision. It was like seeing the world in an entirely new way.

Sloan and I have each been wanting to get to Master Assassin at the same ceremony since we joined when we joined at age 5, eleven years ago. We stayed on stage with our blades crossed for a while, but neither of us wanted to leave.

But all of these feelings of joy quickly subsided.

I decided to take the awesome chance to activate Eagle Vision to see the epic array of blue allies across the auditorium, until I saw a different colour.

Red.

"No!" I yelled as the assassin leapt up onto the stage and ran toward the Mentor.

I tried to run toward him but got lightheaded from prolonged use of the sixth sense. Sloan ran at him to stop the attack, but was thrown to the ground and was jumped off of, where the assassin was headed towards the Mentor. I got up and leapt in front of him and closed my eyes.

When they opened, the betrayer had missed his target, stabbing his hidden blade through my arm. Wait.

It was only one blade.

I turned to look at my Mentor, a blade being pulled from his chest and he fell to the ground. The assassin kicked me away and ran toward the edge of the platform, overlooking the lake, and jumped off. A moment later, a helicopter with a Templar cross painted on the side flew up, and out of sight.

From overusing Eagle Vision, being in the Animus, and loss of blood, I started to lose consciousness. But I had one thing on my mind:

That rogue assassin had to die.
