********************* December 1st Friday morning! First day classes have finished and people start to go home for the holidays.. ********************** I am walking into then great hall with Lola, from my dorm, because Professor Mcgonagall has a very Christmassy announcement. We sit down and Mcgonagall walks in. "Hello, students! I hope you have had a wonderful year at Hogwarts" she started "Now I am happy to announce we have a special surprise this Christmas Break" she smiled " I know a lot of you were going to go back to your families these holidays but we are organising a.." she took a dramatic pause "Christmas Eve Dance" she said her eyes twinkling.
The hall erupted into cheers then all the girls started whispering about who they'll go with and what they'll wear. The boys were looking around wondering what the girls were talking about. Mcgonagall dismissed us and Samuel and I went to find Kyra and the others. We find them at the Gryffindor table, talking about who knows what. "Hi guys! Are you excited?" I asked. "Of course!" Said Kyra, Rose and Dom at the same time. "Are you?" Asked Roxi. "Nah.. not really" I replied. They all stared at me wide-eyed. "Why not?" Said Dom. "I was and still am not into dressing up and that kind of stuff" I said "Besides I won't get to go no one will ask me.." Dom chocked and Rose looked at me like I'm crazy. "Are you serious?" Said Dom "Millions of guys will be asking you to go! You are so pretty! You actually look part Veela!" I blushed and smiled, "Thanks! At least I have something to wear"
Kyra and I wanted to go to the library to study things, and Samuel decided to tag along. We were in there for about 15mins and this boy in our year came up to us. I realised it was Colin Creevery jr. "Hey Colin!" I said. "Hi Anna, Kyra , Samuel! Um.. Anna I was wondering if... you'd like to go to the dance with me?"Colin went crimson and put his head down. "Oh!" I look at Kyra and Samuel. Kyra had a look that said I told you so. And Samuel looked... kind of angry, I don't really know why though. "I'm so sorry Colin, maybe another time!" I said. Colin just smiled brightly and said. "No probs!"he said walking out. "Wow" I said picking up a book " that was unexpected" "Well you shouldn't of said yes anyway, you barely know him!" Said Samuel in a angry voice. "I'm going!" He stormed out of the library slamming the doors behind him. I looked at a Kyra, shrugged and went back to my book. I didn't notice Kyra's weird expression as Samuel left.
******** About 2:00pm later that day ******** I was in my Quidditch uniform walking on to the pitch for a practice. Not team practice though. James has set up a training day for the Potter-Weasley Clan (Who were in a team) plus Kyra, Samuel and I and a few others. "Ok everyone we are here today to practice Quidditch. Now we will be in 2 teams I'm captain of one and Fred is captain of the other" said James "Ok first we pick our seekers, I pick Al" he said as Al walked over to him. "I pick.. Kyra" said Fred. And I noticed Kyra turn red, I'll tease her about that later I thought. "Now Chasers, Myself, Rose and... Anna" I smiled and walked over to his team. "Ok" said Fred "I pick Samuel,Louis and Dom" They all went over to his side. "Now beaters, Helena and Mia" said James. Helena and Mia are Rose's friends from Hufflepuff and they play beaters on the Hufflepuff team. "Well of course myself, and Roxi" said Fred and his sister went over to him. "Now Keeper... Alice" James said and points at Alice. "Scorpius?" Said Fred. "Sure!" Said Scorpius.
******* 5 mins later ******* I was in position facing Samuel who still looked positively angry I don't know why though. The game starts and we all play well. After about 20mins the score is 70-50 my team. And Albus is about a meter away from the snitch, but Kyra is not playing well at all today, she always seems to be looking into the distance in a daze. Anyway Albus just caught the snitch and we won!
We all go to the ground and shake hands with the other team and once I get to Samuel he just glares and stomps off. Hmph! I thought. What a sore loser he is. Anyway then all the girls head down to the black lake to talk....
