I took a small nap because it'd been ages since I took one. It wasn't long, and didn't help much, but I felt a little better. After my normal routine, I then added some concealer to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. I wore a white button up blouse, a maroon cardigan over, black jeans, pearl earrings, and white Vans. My hair was already curled, so I didn't have to worry about it. I brought a long my black backpack and my small white camera bag with the camera and charger in it just in case there'd be a club meeting on the first day.

I took the normal first day of school outfit as always, and then headed to the kitchen only to find Carla serving the blood from animals. She would take some of the blood packets from her job, being as she was a veterinarian. She was serving the blood into four glasses.

"Ciao (hello), Carla." I grinned and took a seat at the counter.

"Ciao, Kora." She replied. "Ready for your first day of school?"

"A bit nervous." I chuckled. "Is Luca getting ready yet?"

"I'm not sure. I told him several times to start getting ready. Who knows, maybe he's putting on makeup." She joked, and we laughed together.

"Morning ladies." Nico grinned, kissing Carla on the cheek and me on the head.

"Morning." We replied in unison.

"Let's hope Luca doesn't take too long. I have to be there early. After all, it's my first day of school too." Nico announced.

Fifteen minutes later, we arrived at school. I messaged Angela about giving me a quick tour around the school before class started, and she replied that she'd be arriving in a bit. She had to be there super early as well because the president of the club, Eric, told her to take photos. When she arrived, she whipped out her camera. Asking if it were okay if she could take a photo of Luca and I for the newspaper. I had agreed and forced Luca.

After the photo, we toured the school. It wasn't confusing at all, quite simple. It made me less nervous, so for the next half hour, all three of us hung around and watched as people began arriving. People were staring with no hesitation of looking away if I glanced at them. Some of the guys were grinning and a couple even whistled as they passed by. The girls were swooning over Luca, exchanging giggles between their friends. Luca smirked and would wink at a couple of them, which wasn't new. He'd always been a flirt.

Angela had introduced me to all of her friends and even the president, Eric Yorkie. I tried to smile a lot and pay attention to what he'd say because I wanted to be on his good side. Any clubs that included photography and art, I would die for. Between the friends of Angela, they examined mine and Luca's schedule. Luca practically had none of them for any classes. I, on the other hand, had them for quite a few.

My first class, Spanish with Mrs. Goff, was quite simple. I introduced myself and said several things I knew in Spanish. Mrs. Goff was impressed with me knowing quite a bit, but I told her it was because there were a few words similar to Italian. Once I stated that I was Italian, the word quickly spread. It's like one person would hear me say something and 2.5 seconds later, everyone else knew. That's the only thing that I didn't particularly like about small schools. Everyone was in your business.

Second period was Government with Mr. Jefferson. I didn't have Luca, Angela, or any of her friends. But I did have this one guy. He introduced himself as Noah, because Mr. Jefferson decided to have introductions being as it was the first day of school. Noah had blue eyes, shaggy brown hair, and freckles. His skin was nice and looked soft. I had to stop myself from staring, and then I found myself comparing him to Embry. They were two completely different people.
