Chapter 2

It was a lovely Monday when Munangwa decided to take a walk around her hood. As she was walking she met a guy by the name of Chidzima, he was light skinned, tall and handsome. He was also a Christian but it was believed that his father was the greatest witchdoctor of the township and everybody feared him.

Every girl in the township liked him and wanted to be his girlfriend, Chidzima was a loner and he never spoke to anyone, he acted like he could not see anybody and he lived alone.

Other guys would say nasty remarks about him or joke about how powerful his father is when it comes to witchcraft powers yet he cannot help him get a girlfriend.

As a defence mechanism Chidzima decided to isolate himself from everybody else and remained without friends.

This only lasted until he saw Munangwa, He looked at her and felt a very strong attraction towards her, his knees felt weak and his eyesight got blurry, he stood in one place just looking at her walk until he decided to say something to her

Munangwa's POV

As I walked down my street busy wondering around, I heard birds chirping melodically in my ears, I loved the sound of birds and as I smiled I felt a different kind of presence, my heart skipped three bits in a row and I just did not understand what was happening around me so I stopped and stood in one place, there was a force pulling me to look to a specific direction.

I heard a deep voice say my name, it sounded too imaginary and perfect that it rose goose bumps on my arms, all of a sudden I was terrified to look at the owner of the voice, my mind told me if his voice alone can do that to me then what more if I saw him.

I shivered as I procrastinated whether to look at him or walk away. He spoke again, this time he did not just say my name, but he also asked if he could walk with me to where ever I was going.

I hesitated before I nodded my head, I felt his footsteps walk towards me and the closer he got my body felt really funny, I didn't understand what was happening to me, I still hadn't looked at him and when he got very close, I inhaled his scent and my word, it was like nothing I had ever smelled before, an annoying weakness crept into me and I felt dizzy instantly, I felt myself zone out...........

"Munangwa Munangwa", I heard the same voice call me, I opened my eyes and I was sleeping on a mat in a foreign room, I looked around and I saw a light figure before I passed out again, the last thing I heard was, do not worry, she will be okay.

MEANWHILE

Musuku was praying the same day when she started feeling everything that Munangwa was going through, she started to see visions in the spiritual realm and there she saw her friend fighting a human being with an animal mask on his face.

What did not make sense was the fact that the animal was attacking her friend and instead of her friend fighting back and she was only concerned about removing the mask and not fighting back.

The animal was weakening her friend by the minute, she then intervened in prayer to save her friend's life as she could feel her fading away, she saw a charm fall of the animal and all of a sudden the animal had compassion on Munangwa.

He was reaching his hand out and trying to remove the mask with the other hand but it was too strongly pinned on his face and he ended up passing out.

After the vision, Musuku started running to Munangwa's house, she was so concerned that she wasn't even minding cars on the way, she ran until her feet hurt and she just kept going, by the time she got to her friend's house she just walked in without knocking.

She found her friend passed out on the floor and her friends mother crying and praying for her child.

She knelt beside her friend and held her hand, she kissed her forehead and stood up to go get a bucket with warm water and a towel, she dipped the towel in the warm water and put it on her friend's forehead, she then asked her mother to help her carry her friend to her room.

They walked out to go sit by the TV room and Musuku asked, what happened?
