Chapter 24

Musukus POV

We got to our lodge where they were expecting us, a group of ladies were sent into our room to pamper us, we started off with foot massages as Munangwas feet swelled easily, then we did the sauna, we bathed and then went back to the room for the entertainment.

The hula girls came, we danced and had karaoke night, and we just went crazy and had the time of our lives that night not caring about anything in the world.

The hairstylists came and we had our matching weaves on and then got our nails done afterwards.

Our wedding dresses came at midnight and we got fitted to see if they needed any alterations or adjustments and my goodness, they looked mighty fine, we felt like Disney princesses.

 The shoes also arrived and we just had to choose the same because Munangwa could not wear shoes too high due to her pregnancy, so to show some support I wore the same kind of shoes, there was a stunning pair that I would have preferred had it not been for the pregnancy so we got those too,

We also got our tiaras and veils; we started talking about how weird it would be for me to be having sex after the wedding because I knew nothing about how to go about it.

Munangwa was too excited to tell me the gory details of what and what not to do, I was getting scared by the minute and the more we spoke about it so I decided we should drop the topic.

By the time we were done with all our fittings and fun, we were exhausted, my mom called telling me she had just arrived in the city and Newi is eager to see me.

I decided to call Masala to have him bring her through so she can also have her fitting, hair and nails done too but I could not get hold of him.

I asked my mom to bring her and to also fetch Munangwas mom so we all slept at the lodge and that was done.

Newi was too excited, she wouldn't fall asleep even after her fitting and considering the fact that they travelled too far all day with my mom just surprised me.

She looked at Munangwa and then looked at her belly, it wasn't showing but it seemed she had developed a new skill of feeling all the presences in the room, "an extra one huh?" she said winking.

"shhhhhhhh" we all said at once "okay I get it I get it, not a word" she said smiling, " I'm excited you know, congrats by the way " she said with a huge grin " I'm going to be a big sister" she whispered while we laughed.

We then fell asleep awaiting the big day, I dreamt we looked so good that even the paparazzi was there taking pictures, the two men at the end of the aisle looked good but there was a problem, Masala was not smiling and He wasn't looking at me, he just kept his gaze on the ground.

I started to feel myself suffocate as everyone noticed and they were all looking at me with pitiful faces, I tried reaching for him but he was just drifting further away.

 I woke up from my dream and it was 4am, I heard Chidzimas car drive into the lodge but there was no sight of Masala.

I took a long shower trying to calm myself down and then went to go have breakfast at 6am; I decided I would call Masala as he had not called me since the previous night.

His phone was just ringing and ringing without being answered, I panicked and I thought to myself what if he got into an accident, what if something has happened to him, my stomach started to churn........
