Chapter 22
Munangwas POV
I took out my cell phone and immediately called Chidzima then Masala to help me, I was too terrified to make sense, all i remember myself saying is "help my best friend" then it was all black.
I woke up in a hospital bed next to my friend, her eyes were still closed and the machines in the room were making a lot of noise, I was starting to get a headache, when I looked out of the glass on the door, I saw our fiancés seated outside looking worried.
A doctor opened the door and walked in with both Chidzima and Masala, Masala's eyes were red as though he was crying, and Chidzima's ones were already puffy from all the tears the two guys had been shedding for us.
Chidzima hurried to my bed and hugged me like I was dying or it was the last day for me to live "ouch babe u squashing me" I yelped as I felt myself running out of breath.
He loosened the hug and smiled nervously, he kissed me on the forehead with teary eyes and started to talk "I was afraid I would lose you; please don't ever scare me like that again".
"What happened, doctor is she going to be okay?" Masala asked
"Your fiancé is extremely stressed and her blood pressure is too low, what happened is she got too scared and there was a drop in blood flow to the brain so then she fainted, her heart also seems to not be properly functional" the doctor said.
"Is there anything currently stressing you Musuku and do you want to tell me why you got so scared?" he asked me
"I am not stressing about anything doctor, I lied as I looked away trying not to be seen and my reason for fainting was that I saw a man pointing a gun at me, he was ready to kill me and I could see it in his eyes that he meant business" I explained as I recollected the thought in my head.
The doctor called the police for a statement and soon Munangwa's house was inspected and a few bullets were found outside the house, everyone was now curious and inquisitive as to who would want to kill me.
We then went home and I remembered the calls and SMS'S I had been receiving from strange numbers that I have not told Masala about, they were all threats that I should back off from him and that I do not deserve him.
So Masala stayed home with me the next day, my dad was so worried and he wanted to get to the bottom of who would try to kill his daughter.
I got a call from Muneiwa and she sounded very worried about me "Suku, are you okay? Mama tells me you almost died, I don't wanna lose you" she said in small sobs.
"I'm okay sweety you know nobody can kill your older sis because God is looking after her right?"
"But why were you in hospital then? Did you forget to pray last night?" she asked in an accusing tone.
I giggled at her question "no baby, I just got a little scared and fainted but I'm okay I promise you, it is going to be our wedding in two weeks time so you and mama are going to come this side as you are going to be our maid of honor, how do you like that" I asked trying to cheer her up.
"really OMG I could literally hug you right now Suku, I love it a lot, yeay I love you guys, I need to go brag to my friends bye" she said as she hung up, I knew she would be very happy and this would help her forget about what happened so I hung up in giggles.
Masala came into the room and found me smiling, "just what exactly is tickling my baby right now?" he asked with a little smirk on his face.
"I just got off the phone with Newi she is ecstatic about becoming both mine and Nangwa's maid of honour" I told him still smiling.
