~Stephanie's P.o.V.~

As the pleasant afternoon turned into a cold October night, I was shocked to not have heard from Josh. I didn't have his number or anything, but still not a visit or anything. As I snuggled up on my couch watching a movie, I jilted when I heard a knock at my door. That also happened to be the moment I realized I was snuggling in Josh's blanket.

I bounced of the couch, trying to pretend it wasn't who I thought it was, but I was wrong. Josh was standing in my doorway. "Hey we need to talk" He said with a very serious look on his face. I stepped out of the way as he walked in. We both sat on the couch, on opposite sides.
"About last night.." He began. "Did you use protection?" I asked really hoping the answer was yes. "No, well yes, but we didn't really have sex." He said before burying his face in his hand. " What?" I asked. "Well," Josh began, inhaling deeply. "We made out for a little and then you started taking off my clothes, so I did the same to you. We were about to, well you know, and you asked if I had a condom, so I want to get one, and when I came back you were asleep. I wasn't going to kick you out so I got a blanket and put it over you. Then, as i was leaving, you pulled my arm and started cuddling me, and then I just fell asleep." Josh explained. "Did anything else happen?" I asked hoping this nightmare was over. "Well, before I fell asleep, you said 'I love you', you probably ment it for someone else." Josh said.
I had been able to keep the tears back, until now. I burst into tears, definitely embarrassing myself. But I couldn't stop. Josh had sprung off the couch, and to my side. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Josh said, holding me in his arms, "Did I say something?" He asked. "It's just...I got...dumped by...my boyfriend...and he left...he left...he left me for my bestfriend" I managed to spit out between the tears. "Hey, don't worry, everything is going to be okay." Josh said stroking my cheek. "I won't leave" he continued. Josh had a way of making me feel better. When I was with Josh, all my problems seemed to disappear.  "I know, let's go out and have a drink, okay?" Josh suggested, holding my face in his hands directly looking into my eyes. I don't know what came over me, but I pushed my face forward his, kissing Josh. When our kiss broke, he didn't look shocked or disgusted, but relived, like the tension had broken. "Yes"
