The Perfect Neighbor

Skate Date

~Josh's P.o.V.~

Stephanie and I left shortly after I asked her to hang out. I was so nervous. I thought this was a date, but did she? She looked so cute in my shirt, having it partially tucked into her black skater skirt, with matching black converse.

We went to a park, it was only about a 5 minute walk from our apartments. I went directly for the abandoned swings, as no one else was at the park.

"Push me" I requested, grinning.

"Okay..." she said, trying not to smile. She walked behind me and pushed me slightly before taking a seat on the swing next to me.

"So" I began. "Tell me about yourself"

"What do you want to know?" She asked, looking up at me.

"What is your full name?" I asked.

"Stephanie Maria Roberts, but just call me Steph" She answered. "What's yours" She asked, before saying neverminding.

"What do you mean" I asked.

"I already know your name" She answered. I had forgot Steph was a fan, and according to her, a slightly obsessed one at that.

"I bet there's lots of stuff you don't know about me" I said, turning his nose up in a snooty, sarcastic way.

"Probably" She said looking down. I felt bad. I don't know why though.

"So, when's your birthday?" I asked, changing the subject.

"November 2nd" She said, still looking down. I couldn't stand it anymore, I needed her to look at me. It may be too soon, but I think I'm falling for her. I got of the swing, and walked a little ahead. I turned around, asking her to follow. Without replying, Steph got off the swing, and slowly walked towards me. I walked closer to her, deciding to put my plan into action. As I walked, I pretended to trip over a rock, and fell on my face. Steph ran towards me.

"Josh are you okay?" She cried, looking worried. I rolled over, laughing as I sat up. She giggled a little, noticing I was fine. I hadn't felt this feeling in a while, I just want her to be happy. I slowly moved my hand behind her head, placing it on her neck. I slowly sat up, as we never broke eye contact. She was so beautiful, her hair, her eyes, her smile, everything was beautiful. Then, I just did it. I placed a soft kiss on her lips. As I pulled away, she smiled.

"W-was okay?" I asked. She nodded her head, a smile forming n her lips.

We got up off the grass, heading back towards the swings. I picked up my skateboard, and looked at Steph, then back at my skateboard, then back at Steph and grinned.

"No. No. No. that's not happening" Steph said, like she knew what i was thinking. She did.

"Oh come on, it'll be fun."

"No, I don't want to fall on my butt and die" She said, giggling.

"I'll hold your hand" I said, trying to coax her into the idea.

"Fine" she said, a slight groan slipped out of her mouth as she walked towards me, taking my out reached hand. I smiled. This was gonna be fun.

"Okay, so just step up on the board and I'll pull you along" I said. She looked nervous. She stepped on the board, and grabbed at my hands, gripping them tight.

"It's okay..." I chuckled. "I got you."

We rolled down the path slowly at first, quickly picking up speed. I was already jogging along next to Steph, I was not going to run. I let go of her hands and watched her balance herself. Man, she looks so cute.

"Josh, look!" She exclaimed.

Next thing I knew, Steph hit a rock and want flying off the board and into the grass. I ran over to her. She was face down in the grass, but soon she rolled over, laughing.

"That was fun" she started "but that really hurt"

"Do you need a kiss to make it better?" I asked mockingly, kneeling down next to her.

"Maybe" she said, propping herself on he elbows.

Woah, I was not expecting that answer. I leaned in, and placed my lips on hers. Her lips moved in sink with mine, a small moan escaping her mouth as we disconnected.

"Whoa..." I said trying to think of words to say. "We should uh..." I started.

Steph smiled, kissing me again, this time it was harder, and a bit sloppier. She broke the kiss and moved her head to my cheek, lightly kissing it.

"Lets go back to your place" she whispered into my ear.
