~Steph's P.o.V~

*beep beep beep*

My eyes fluttered open to see Josh sitting in a chair across the room. He is asleep, but I can see the dried tears on his face, along with a few new ones.

"...josh" I manage to spit out.

His head popped up, and immediately ran to my side.

"Steph! Oh my god, are you okay?" He asks as more tears form in his eyes.

"Well, I'm in a hospital bed so..." I said.

Josh grabbed my head, and repeatedly kissed my face. I giggled. The door opened and a nurse walked in.

"Oh, you're up" She piped. "Sir, I need to speak with you in the hallway"

Josh started towards the door, before turning around to blow me a kiss. I smiled, trying to grab it before noticing the large wrapped bandage around my left forearm.

The nurse looked up from her clipboard.

"So, I would think it be a good idea that she start therapy again, considering her history" the nurse began.

Therapy? When was Steph in therapy? And what past is she referring to?

" Also" the nurse began again, snapping me out of my trance. "Before you leave, we need to update her information, when you checked her in, the parental records did not match any in our system, and we weren't able to get the correct blood type immediately, because it didn't match her mother's or her father's."

I was still taken back, therapy? I defiantly need an answer.

When Josh returned, he had a concerned look on his face. He sat down on my bed and took my hands in his.

"Steph, I really need you to fill me in, what's the history with this?" He said, not looking me in the eyes.

I took a deep breath.

"Well, it all started when I was 11" I started, Josh, finally looking in my eyes.

"When I was 11, my dad left her mother and moved to San Antonio. He didn't say anything, and if did, my mom never told me. 6 months later, she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer."

Josh's eyes fell.

"Steph I'm so.." He began.

"No. Josh I need to finish before you say anything" I said, a tear falling down my face.

He nodded.

"I met Parker while waiting in kids play room, our mothers were in a support group together. When we were 12, Parkers mom passed away, and she turned to me and we became best friends."

I paused, holding back a tear. Josh grabbed my hand, squeezing them.

"When I was 13" I began again. "My grandparents both died in a car accident, and my mom and i receive a lot of money in return. And, shortly after my mom went into remission. All was okay for a while. But I was 15, Parkers dad and stepmom kicked her out, because she was gay. Parker moved in with me and my mom, since we were basically her second family." I chuckled.
