Chapter 8

Mary's pov

Ali was dancing with Dad while I was talking to our mother, I heard someone clear their throat and I looked up to see Johnny and Tommy. I smiled at Johnny and he smiled back.

Me: hey, Johnny.

Johnny: hi, would you care to dance?

Me: I would love to.

He grabbed my hand and helped me out of my chair, we walked to the dance floor and started to dance. I heard Dad and Ali argue about her date with Daniel, Mom came in with Tommy and she didn't look happy about that at all.

Me: do you think, my sister will be all right with him?

Johnny: Mary, she'll be fine he won't start anything.

I look at him and we started talking about the music, when he said-

Johnny: you look beautiful.

I blush and smile at him.

Me: you don't look too bad yourself.

He was wearing a gray suit while I was wearing a black dress, Mom and Ali picked it out while we were talking we heard Ali shout-

Ali: don't you ever do that to me, again!

We looked and saw a smirking Tommy then heard a big crash coming from the kitchen, we looked and saw Daniel and a waiter covered in spaghetti. Everyone started laughing but I gasped and looked in horror, I saw that Ali smacked Timmy across the face and walk away. Mom and Dad started talking about Daniel but I didn't want to listen about it, I walked away sad and angry. Sad that Johnny lied to me and angry that Tommy even did that to Ali, I heard someone running after me but I was already outside. The door opened and someone grabbed my hand spinnin me around, I look to see a concern looking Johnny.

Johnny: what's wrong?

Me: you lied to me! You said that he wouldn't do anything to her!

Johnny: Mary, I didn't know that he'll do that! Please, you have to believe me!

Me: I don't know, Johnny.

He sighed and hugged me, I tried to get him off of me but he wouldn't let go. My eyes started to tear up and I started to feel bad, I hugged him back and started to cry.

Johnny: I'm sorry, Mary.

Me: can you do me a favor.

Johnny: what?

Me: punch him for me, please.

I heard him laughing and he nodded his head.

Johnny: I will, tomorrow.

I nodded and we went back inside, he dried my tears and we hung out for a while before we all went home. I comforted my sister until we both fell asleep on her bed.

*Time Skip To Karate Tournament*

I was with Ali, Daniel, and Mr. Miyagi signing Daniel up. When they asked him what belt he was he started stuttering tell Mr. Miyagi said-

Mr. Miyagi: black belt.

The man told them where to go and we said goodbye to Daniel, Ali kissed his cheek and we ran off to where we're supposed to be. But before we could Mr. Miyagi was correcting the man and gave us a black belt from the bag, we hid it and ran to where we can wait for Daniel. Ali started getting nervous and that's when I saw Johnny and them, I looked at Ali while saying-

Me: I'm gonna tell the guys I'm here, be right back.

Ali: alright, be safe.

I nodded and ran over to the guys, I called out Johnny's name and he turned around smiling. We hugged and I saw Timmy with a bruised cheek, Bobby walked over and smiled at us.
