Chapter 2

Mary's pov

About a minute went by when I heard motorcycles coming our way. I snapped my head in the direction it came to see that it was Johnny and his friends. Ali kicked the ball away when Daniel wasn't looking, as she also heard the motorcycles. Something tells me tonight is going to end badly.

"Oh, I'll go get it." Daniel smiled before running after the ball

I turned to my sister with anxiety and fear coursing through my veins, " Ali, what do I do?"

"Just sit and ignore them," Ali said, grabbing my hand

I sighed, feeling guilty. Johnny and I used to be friends growing up. I used to be friends with his group also, but after they got into karate, they became violent and would always pick a fight. Ali and I sat down with the girls, and a few minutes later, Johnny walked over to us and kneeled in front of me.

"Mary, I want to talk to you," Johnny said

I sighed as my eyes closed. I looked at Johnny with a slight frown. I was met with his blue eyes that I always caught myself staring into, I opened my mouth to tell him that I didn't want to talk right now, but Ali spoke before I could.

"Johnny, leave her alone." Ali said coldly, "She doesn't want to talk to you, so go."

Johnny looked at Ali, annoyed, before turning off her radio, "Well, I want to talk to her, so bud out, Ali."

Ali glared at him before giving him a sweet smile and turned the radio back on, and Johnny turned the radio off again, looking even more annoyed.

"Ali, what is your problem?" Johnny asked Ali, and I looked between the two, not knowing what to do or say, "All I want is to talk to your sister."

Ali looked at him as if he was stupid, "That's my problem," I saw Ali grab her radio and stand up, making me sigh, already knowing that they were going to fight "so why don't you and your Cobra Kai buddies ride out of here."

I followed my sister just in case she was trying to leave, and it looked like her friends had the same idea. So I took Ali's radio and followed her as she started to walk away.

"Oh, you think that's going to solve everything." Johnny scoffed at my sister before ripping her radio out of my hand

I turned towards him with a sigh, "Can I have the radio," I went to grab it, but he moved it a little behind him to where we were a lot closer than we were before, "please?"

Johnny shook his head, "No."

"Johnny, please give me the radio." I sighed, going to grab it again, but he stepped back, "Come on, Johnny."

"You promise you'll talk to me?" Johnny asked, "Without your sister making choices for you."

I stared into his eyes before softly nodding, "Yes, I promise. Just give it back."

Johnny and I stared at one another for a minute before he nodded. Johnny handed the radio to me, letting me give it to Ali. When we went to walk away, Ali turned the radio back on with a smug smirk. That was Johnny's breaking point.

He snatched the radio out of Ali's hands and smashed it to the ground. I gasped as Ali marched up and started hitting Johnny's chest. I quickly jumped in between them and tried getting Ali away from Johnny.

"You just broke my radio!" Ali yelled

"Yeah," Johnny said in a duh tone

"Yeah, you did." A familiar voice jumped in, causing me to freeze. I turned my head to see that it was indeed Daniel.
