sorry it's short but hey it's my birthday

you had been trying for a child for a while, but months later, it still hadn't happened. that's why you were shocked when all three of the sticks had a positive symbol.

you had been feeling nauseous, but at first thought it was nothing. but after a little bit, you started to get suspicious, and bought pregnancy testers late in the evening, before alex had even gotten home from snl. and now it was confirmed - you were going to have a child. you screamed in joy and hopped around. the results were amazing, and you couldn't wait to show alex.

when you heard the door open and close, you rushed to it, breathless. alex, surprised, kissed your forehead. "what is it, baby?"

and then he looked down.

"no...no, are you serious?"

he looked bewildered. you started to get scared, thinking he didn't want the kid, but he saw the look on your face and rushed to reassure you.

"do you think i'm upset? oh god, no! this is...amazing! we've been trying to have one for so long and we're finally going to have a son, or a daughter. i'm going to be a dad!!"

he rushed around the room in shock. "i'm going to have a kid! i'm going to be a dad!" he repeated.

finally, he rushed towards you, slamming his lips against yours passionately. "and you're going to be the most beautiful, amazing mother". he then bent down and kissed your stomach. "and you are going to be a little moffat, and be the best child any parent could ask for".
