HELLO!!! AND WELCOME BACK TO 'The Prince and the Wash Girl'! So the dress above is what I picture Astrid wearing to meet Stoick. So.....ON TO THE CHAPTER!!! :D

"Astrid. Stop. It's perfect." Ruff said as Astrid pulled at her dress.
"Are you sure Ruff? I mean it's not everyday you meet the king."
She and Hiccup had been dating for the past four months. The poorer village was shocked that she was dating the prince. The other day Hiccup decided that it was time for her to meet Stoick. Ruff was over helping her get ready.
"Yes I'm sure. Now Hiccup will be here any minute. Just relax." Ruff advised.
"That's easy for you to say. You're not the one meeting the king!" Astrid said.
Just then Hiccup knocked on the door.
Astrid opened it and Hiccup kissed her hand before saying, "You ready?"
"Yes. I'm ready." Astrid said smiling at him.
So they began to ride to the castle.

"Hello Erica."Astrid said, hugging her friend.
"It's good to see you again Astrid." Erica said.
"Astrid. You know the gang."
"The royal gang." Erica added.
"Oh right. Hello again."
Then a servant walked in, "Your dinner is served."
"Thank you. Let's go." Hiccup said.
So they walked to the dinning hall.
"Dad?"
"Yes Hiccup?"
"This is my girlfriend, Astrid."
"Hello your majesty." Astrid said, curtsying.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Astrid."
Astrid smiled.
"Where are you from?"
"Um....The Lower Village." Astrid told him hesitantly.
"Oh. What do you do for a living?"
"I'm the wash girl."
"Oh. Good, good. Hiccup, Erica. Did you know that your mother was a wash girl of one of the other villages?"
"No we didn't dad." Hiccup said.
"Son, I think that you have a keeper." Stoick laughed.
Hiccup and Astrid both blushed and they continued to eat and talk.
Soon dinner was over and Hiccup had to take Astrid back home.
"Til next week mi'lady. I've got a week long meeting so I'll see you after."
"Okay. Til next week then."
Then Astrid went inside and Hiccup left for the castle.

That next week......
Hiccup rode to the poorer village.
"Astrid!" He said when he saw her walking across the lane with a water jug.
Astrid turned and smiled at him, "Hey Hiccup. How was your meeting?"
"It was so boring." Hiccup said as he dismounted.
They walked side by side and when they got to outside her house Hiccup tied Toothless to the post and Astrid put her jug down. They hugged and what Hiccup did next was surprising.
Hiccup knelt in front of Astrid. Her parents were watching through the window and villagers that were walking near-by stopped to see what he was doing.
"Astrid. Ever since I first saw you when I came to get Erica, I've loved you. Now will do me the greatest honor of being the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?" Hiccup proposed.
"Um......Um.....Y-Yes."

I literally felt like I was going to explode when I wrote the proposal. In fire talk that's a spontaneous combustion. :D
