Never Make a deal with an Evil Cat (Hanamiya x Reader)

『Chapter 14』〇 Fired

You saw that your boyfriend was right in front of you to protect you from your boss's punch with just one little problem.  He's in his human form. He was out of his cat form into his human form where they were a couple of cat ears on his head and a cat tail on his behind. He was right in front of you and embracing you with his long warm arms with his chest to your face in his back to your boss.

The boss had a surprised look on his face and confused. So does Mirami had the same look on her face she could not believe that it was actually Makoto hanamiya but she was also trying to figure out where he came from.

The boss's punch didn't reach to your face but it did reach to your boyfriend's back and judging your boyfriend's reaction, gritting his teeth he must have punched hard. That could have been your face instead of his back.

"You have a strong punch there, you piece of shit. I wonder what would happen if I wasn't here." He growled as he turned over to my boss. His eyes were golden with anger and didn't want an apology or a free meal.

"Look, buddy. What the hell are you? Get out of this restaurant right now!" The boss demanded, which mad Makoto even more angry. He walked up to the boss with both of his hands balled up.

Oh yeah, that's what you need. A brawl between the manager and a catman and it all happened at Maiji Burger.

You hugged Hanamiya from behind, holding him back from landing a hit on your boss. But that didn't work. After all, he was bigger and stronger than you, that made his turn your attention to you.

"Why are you holding me back? Let me go so I can get this piece of shit." Hanamiya growled at you with his eyes blazing. You closed your eyes as you shook your head.

"You can't do this to him. Not while people are watching. You're going to get us into trouble of you don't stop." You told him, "let's just get out of here."

"How long have you been dealing with this guy? Has he been abusing you while I was gone?" He asked you. There was tears coming up in your eyes. You wanted to say no, but you see the anger in his eyes that scared you. You nodded your head yes.

For some reason, the male cats back started to loosen up a bit. All the sudden he was so relaxed just because you answered his question with a yes. You rubbed his back with an apologetic look on your face. You should've told him sooner but then you didn't know that he would turn out like this.

"Let's go, Hanamiya. We're going home." You took off you Maiji Burger hat and placed it on the counter. Quitting your job was what he probably wanted you to do. Although, you should have done it sooner.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Hanamiya said as he followed you to the door.

"Boss, I quit Maiji Burger until they get a new boss." You said firmly as you left to the door, "let's go, Hana-"

Before you could get to to the before, he punch the Manger in the face, causing the man to fall on the ground.

"Hanamiya! No!" You shouted as he stopped and looked at the man dead in the eyes.

"If you touch her again, I'll kill you." Hanamiya turned to Mirami and looked dead in her eyes to. He was serious. "Same thing goes to you." He snickered as he went to the door. He followed right behind him. During the whole bus ride back home he seemed very cooled down. At least when he turned back into a cat.

You carried the tired kitty off the bus when you arrived. Makoto was still awake but a little moody. You wanted to yell him that what he did was wromg, but then he would argue back, and you're not in the mood for that.

You opened the door of the house and put your cat down on the couch and hoped for him to go to sleep anytime soon. You walked to the kitchen to get yourself something to eat. And Makoto too.

"Why didn't you quit a long time ago? Man, you are just hopeless." Hanamiya grumbled, "you can't protect yourself and think that I'm going to save you."

"That's not the case at all! Maiji Burger ws paying well. Now that it was just me I can have enough money to take care of myself." You explained, "I had to work double-shifts when it was the two of us. If I quit back then, I wouldn't still live in this house."

"Then get a better job at short notice. Get two jobs if you want to." Hanamiya said, "I'm pretty sure that there are those good restaurants in Japan that are really good and pay very well."

"Well, those restaurants requires too much from me. I tried, believe me, Hanamiya. I didn't make it because I'm still in school and that my step-family is wealthy. They thought that I could just get money from there." You said.

"Then why can't you get some of that money?" Hanamiya asked. You sighed at the cat, since since he doesn't know how to piece things together in your situation.

"Uh hello? Mirami would never let me  have some of the money. And I'm tired of asking grandma for money. I want to work for it." You told him, "it's the only way I know how." Your mother taught you how to work for what you want and that's how you to live.

"Right. Anyway, what you really need to do is to take care of yourself. I'm tired of always defending you and your stupid mistakes." Hanamiya hissed, "and after that, I don't ever get a thank you."

"Then why do you keep on doing it? I'm trying to make this work out so that way I can live better than this." You tried to explain tour plan to him without wanting to choke him, "and besides, I never wanted you to go the hard way on anyone."

"What are you trying to say?" Hanamiya raised himself from the couch and walked over to you with his cat eyes looking up at you mean.

"I'm saying is that I never liked it when you would beat people up because of me. What if you got into trouble? Or the both if us?" You ranted, "what you did to Mirami and the manager wasn't right."

"Someone has to pay for what they did to you. And I'm the neko you have to care of around here, so go make me  a sandwich." Hanamiya said as he returns to the couch.
