Someone who talks to me when something is wrong, who doesn't say "I don't know" or "What do you what me to say?"
Someone who doesn't leave me sobbing in his bedroom on New Year's Eve – I just wanted to go home.
Someone who doesn't treat me like I don't exist when he's drunk or around friends. Like I'm dirt on the bottom of his shoes.
Someone who wants to make plans with me and does.
Someone who wants to talk to me as much as I want to talk to him.
Someone who doesn't ask or expect me to wait up until 5:00am to talk. Like I'm the burden.
Someone who does what he says, not someone who promises just to break them.
Someone who surprises me and makes me feel important.
Someone who wants to cuddle in the morning, wants to watch Netflix at night, or just be with me all the time.
Someone who prioritizes and plans well so that there is time for me.
Someone who has the decency to look me in the eyes and respect my wishes, who doesn't ask too much of me.
Someone who thinks that I am enough, who says that I am everything he said I was, means it and loves me for it.
Someone who reads what I wrote when he offers, not someone who offers and then never follows through.
Someone who fights for me, who doesn't quit on us and who can't easily cut me out of his life.
Someone who has my back. Always and forever. There is no question.
Someone whose friends are mature enough to respect a relationship.
Someone who doesn't feel torn between me and his friends because I am his number one priority. Always. No matter what his effing friends say.
Someone who isn't okay with the thought of never seeing me again.
