The First Nightmare

"So, what are we gonna do today? The rainy weather isn't allowing anything great for a late night out." I shook my head at the things we could only do.

"We can have a great night at least," Michael replied, wanting to continue but he was stopped by a ringing of... a phone?

"Sorry, be back in a few minutes." He ran off leaving me on my bed staring at the cloudy sky...

"Elise? Where's Michael?" Dad?

"He got a call and took it."

"Well, I'm not that surprised, dear. Protectors like him are always busy."

"He should start to learn to draw the line, father. It's not like a half-breed can always take care of their own life."

"Oh, but now you can, can't you?"

"Oh come on." Our short conversation ended with my rude reply. He then left me alone to wait, thinking about the long explanation that happened before...

"Michael! It's great to see you... wait, who's that?!" He pointed to my masked self, with my white hair, in my red coat, grey shirt and black pants full of buckles.

"It's me, Father," I spoke softly, my face probably the most intimidating to him.

"Uh, Baron... this might need some real big explaining to do here, please, have a seat. We'll talk about this in greater detail." I leant against the wall dividing the dining table and the kitchen as I oversee the conversation that went on.

"Her? Xandor found her? Awakened her Fallen persona and let her run on a rampage? This needs Jeanna's presence, Michael. This isn't just a matter about the Protectors anymore." Michael shook his head, as if slightly annoyed, as well.

"Baron, Jeanna is a Fallen. Xandor is a Fallen. Can't you see the link I'm trying to make here? There's no guarantee Jeanna will stay good forever. Once Xandor gets something in place, he can turn any Fallen that became a traitor back into a loyal, abiding slave."

"I'm already like this. It's not like I wished for it either. Don't bring Mother in as well. By the way, the summary about all this... Xandor looked me up, forced me to be like that, and some white uniformed bastard up there in Heaven conked me in the head and who knows what happened next. Don't believe Michael for his interpretation." I didn't mention about White Mask, but he sure gives me the creeps talking about it now.

"Well, she did explain everything. What do you think, Baron?"

"Michael, we need to let this rest. She seems fine to me now. If we all can take a night off from these..."

"I guess you're right." They both got up together and turned to me.

"It's over now, let's get some rest." They led me to my room, and I sat on my bed as I pondered over my choices. There wasn't many, as Michael sat along with me.

"I'm back!" Michael held his phone as he sat by my side again.

"Who called?"

"Nothing. The school just called to tell me you're absent for too long again without a really valid reason."

"So I have to go back there and face the atrocities of Mira and Ash? And turn for who knows how long?"

"It's odd how your half-breed self doesn't really awaken, but Mira and Ash are really troublesome. Do you think it would work if you act like one of them?" Thinking back, I haven't tried it. But now that I am threatened by Xandor, I would be more or less forced into Fallen behaviour.
