"Pan! Pan!"
We heard the sound of a few lost boys running through the forest sounding distressed and alarmed that made Peter and I pull away from each other.
Rapidly I fixed myself up to avoid looking out of breath and dishevelled around the lost boys who appeared a few moments later but instead of running up to us, with one look from Peter, they stopped just by the forest and waited with anxious looks.
"What's going on?" I asked, my face finally calming down from the red blush and I curiously and worriedly watched as Peter pushed up off his seat
"Nothing to worry about, love. I'll handle it, my apologies we can't continue. I suggest you get some sleep instead." He said with a small gentle smile but I could still see some hostility in his green eyes and knew he was hiding something from me.
"Peter, what's going on? Is something wrong?" I stubbornly insisted and stood up to meet his eyes.
All of a sudden his smile was gone and i stead was replaced with cold eyes and a scowl and his green eyes glared at me sharply.
"This is none of your business, Diana. I have already decided to forget about the mermaid fiasco a few days ago. Do not give me any other reason to punish you." He sneered, his voice no longer gentle but instead ominous and dark and there was no room for argument, "Now go get some sleep."
I grew silent in surprise. How his attitude can suddenly change from being sweet to being to his cold, dark and controlling self in a matter of seconds I can never explain. I clenched my jaw in defeat seeing no other way around and simply nodded obediently.
"Yes, Pan." I sighed glaring at the ground, angry at myself that I wasn't able to defy Peter at all.
"Good. Sleep well, darling." He patted my cheek twice like some dog before he suddenly whisked me up to my room and hurriedly I went to the window to spot Peter standing with the lost boys whom he brought with him two days ago, talking before vanishing from the camp in a puff of smoke.
I waited for a few moments after they left before I grabbed my sword and some extra knives from my satchel before I climbed down the treehouse.
Quickly and quietly I sneaked out of camp to follow Peter and the other lost boys who was with him. Since he used magic to go wherever they went, I would have to be extra careful in walking around the jungle to spy on them.
If he wasn't going to tell me any damn thing, then I'm going to find out on my own.
I was careful around the jungle, guard up and a knife in hand as I took light steps on the ground, keeping my eyes open for any sign of any one of them.
Before I went out the camp, I made sure to cast a cloaking spell on me so Peter wouldn't see or sense me when I'm around them. But since my magic isn't the same as Peter, my cloaking spell wasn't similar to his. With only being able to control nature and elements, the cloaking I could only do is to be able to camouflage myself with my surroundings like an animal, not really a powerful spell.
Hiding from tree to tree and using the shadows to hide myself, I was nearing the shores and saw the lost boys circled together with Peter's back facing me.
"Alright boys, show me." His voice low and almost menacing yet excited at the same time.
I could feel a dark aura around Peter. Something I've never seen in him and it was enough to render me speechless and I could only imagine the dark and evil look on his face.
One of the lost boys, I think it was Marco, from where I can see atleast, dragged up a tattered clothed boy. Beat up and covered in scratches of dirt and leaves who looked scared out of his wits end.
