Chapter 11

Dan's POV

"Alright Eric, I get it, you want a new phone for your birthday. I guess you'll just have to wait and see." Dan heard his mum's voice as he opened the screen door. He smiled to himself. Eric was sitting on the couch on his phone.

"Dan! You're here!" Eric exclaimed. He came and tackled Dan with a hug and then pulled him to the kitchen. "Mum we are leaving, I love you." Eric was so excited for Dan's surprise that he ran to the car.

"Be safe, Daniel. Make sure you have eyes on him at all times." His mum scolded him and gave him a stern look before kissing his cheek and turning him around. "Now go, before your brother tries to drive himself."

"He seriously needs a new phone though, mum. His is ancient. I'll help." Dan said as he walked up to the door. "Don't worry about his new phone, honey. You just paid for an expensive concert ticket," his mum waved goodbye.

Dan walked to the car and told Eric to calm down as he thought of how happy this will make his younger brother.

"No. Fucking. Way." Eric said as he removed the blindfold Dan made him put on when they got close to the arena. Eric jumped out of the car as he saw that they were at the arena Twenty One Pilots were playing. "THIS IS AMAZING, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT ME TICKETS!" Eric literally screamed as he ran around the car and jumped on Dan and then jumped in place. Dan laughed.

"Happy early birthday, dude." He got to his trunk and pulled out a new TOP long sleeved shirt that Eric didn't have and handed it to him. Eric's already wide smile grew wider and he hopped in the car, ducking down to change. Dan's eyes caught Eric's wrists, scars criss crossing over one another. He hates seeing it, and he knows Eric hates showing them, so he made sure to get a long sleeved shirt. Dan unzipped his black bomber jacket to reveal he was wearing the band's only shirt he owns. He locked the car as Eric got out and they made their way to the doors.

"I am actually crying," Eric said as he looked at his fists that clamped around the red confetti that is iconicly dropped at the end of Trees. Although Dan wasn't a die hard fan, he enjoyed the concert a lot. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun know how to put on a show. Dan looked down at his brother to see tears were falling down his face.

"I'm assuming you loved it?" Dan asked, as they finally reached the car and Eric just nodded. Dan was happy his gift was a good one.

Dan pulled into his old driveway and parked the car. Dan sighed, he thought about what he wanted to say when they got here, and although he had a whole speech, he couldn't think of anything right now. "Eric, I want you to listen to what Tyler said. Before Guns for Hands? All he said, about staying alive. I want you to listen to the video you took. I know you look up to him. He said it all better than I ever could."  Dan looked over at Eric, who had glassy eyes.

"I don't say this enough Dan, but I seriously love you. I will. I think I'm doing better. Even before today. I try to look at the positive things in each day, instead of the negative. I still have some rough days, but I've been having more and more good days." Dan let go of a breath he didn't realize he had been holding.

"I love you, too, Eric, now get inside before mum kills us both." He gave Eric a one armed hug and smiled as he watched him go to the front door and dip inside.

Dan was super exhausted when he finally got to his front door and unlocked it. He was pleased to find his raven haired boyfriend in his bed slightly snoring. He hadn't seen Phil all day and he missed him terribly. He stripped down to his boxers and slid in under the covers.

"Dan?" Phil whispered. "No, it's the grinch," he replied. Phil laughed softly and rolled over. Their lips met in a sweet embrace that Dan could only describe as amber. Phil's lips were intoxicating like the wine he would have on holidays when he was younger. Phil grabbed Dan and made him lay on his back, as he slowly grinded his hips down on Dan's. A moan escaped Dan's lips and he was entirely embarassed until Phil groaned out, "Let me hear you."

Dan didn't try to keep quiet anymore as Phil's lips roamed Dan's neck. They kissed like this for a long time, making Dan forget his worries and falling deeper in love with Phil.

He just wasn't ready to tell him yet.
