"almost time" I mumbled anxiously tapping my foot looking around the park it was empty but what if something happens? if I blow this (y/n) might hate me this should be good no it has to be good it has to be

"dude, are you okay? it's only some guy calm down" Ben said like an idiot

"It has to be perfect! if I mess up he'll hate me!" I emphasized explaining the importance of this date Ben just rolled his eyes and continued to string the lights on a tree I glanced back at my phone 12! "he's going to be here soon get lost Ben!" he just rolled his eyes with a smirk and teleported away I went to the park gate to wait for (y/n) after a couple of minutes I saw him walking down the sidewalk after he noticed me he began to jog toward me he a stopped in front of me he looked as cute as always he's nervous I can tell he's wearing his safety jacket it's his favorite

"hey jeff, what are we doing this late?" he asked motioning toward the moon

"come on ill show ya but you gotta close your eyes," I said he nodded and closed his eyes he looks adorable I grabbed his hand and led him to the spot Ben and I picked I took a deep breath "okay open 'em" he slowly opened his eyes they grew wide

we brought out the picnic basket and ate some pasta I had tried make we ate and talked till the sun began to rise it was perfect after texting Ben to come and start picking up the picnic (y/n) and I started walking toward his house chatting the whole time till we reached his porch I watched as he unlocked his door

"imma get going. I'll see ya tomorrow for movie night?" I asked as (y/n) as he opened his front door he was quiet for a second as if he was thinking
