  Edd flopped over in his bed, unable to sleep. He hadn't been able to sleep in days. His cat Ringo lay at the foot of his bed. Edd sat up.

 He reached for the half-empty can of cola on his nightstand. Pressing the can to his lips, he swallowed the liquid, which he felt trickle down his throat.

 Letting out a sigh, he reached for his phone, turning it on. Swiping his thumb across the screen, he tapped the music player.

"Can't sleep?" Edd looked up. His boyfriend Tord was leaning in the doorway, his foot against the doorway and his arms folded across his chest. 

Edd nodded, yawning. Tord strode into the room, sitting on Edd's bed. Edd coughed. Tord inched closer. Edd said nothing, he just carefully watched his lover.

Tord inched closer, so that he was sitting beside his boyfriend. He put his arm around Edd's shoulders. He sighed. Edd yawned. 

Tord looked at him. "How are you?" he asked. Edd shrugged. Tord put his arm down. He lay on his back, his head resting on one of Edd's pillow.

Edd lay down, his head laying on Tord's chest. He could hear his lover's heartbeat. The rhythm of Tord's heart beating soothed Edd. 

Edd felt his eyelids get heavy. Soon, he was asleep, lightly snoring. 

Tord, even though he was uncomfortable with Edd sleeping on his chest, smiled. "Goodnight, my sweet prince." He said before joining his boyfriend in slumber.
