After weeping to the corpses of his children, Kaldur's eyes became dry, as did his heart. He felt a hardening in his chest and could feel his being begin to change. His soul now soaked in black, his mind buried with murderous plans. The man once known as the kind and gentle loving Kaldur'ahm, was no more. He's died along with his children.
Kaldur gave commands to his comrades on how to handle his children's precious bodies. He told them that he and he alone was going to find his father and deal with him. His is goal in mind, save the last thing that he loves:his wife no matter the cost.
He did not know of Ame's condition, but he knows that she's not well. Manta has despised Amethyst for the longest. He worries of his unborn child as he looks for his father. As they weeks went by, Kaldur did not speak to anyone. He stayed inside, and was deprived of sleep, making sure that he continued to try to find his wife. He trained every minute he had, when he wasn't tracking Manta's men.
It was 2 weeks before he would find Manta but when he did...
The men weren't well armed as they didn't think that Kaldur won't find them. They immediately noticed something off about the former hero. His aura was shrouded with darkness. He walked in with no weapons, head hung down low. The first man was killed in an instance by Kaldur's hands: his neck snapped in two. The others tried to fight but failed miserably. The last man fell to his knees once seeing his friends body's beside him.
"Please! Have mercy," the man begged,"I-I have a family! A little girl and a baby boy, barely one!"
Kaldur gave the man a durranged smile,"Where was the mercy for my family?"
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean any harm! I'm only here to help my wife pay the bills!"
Kaldur got close to the man's ear and whispered,"Then she'll pay them with your life insurance."
~~~~~~~
Kaldur approached Manta with mighty force as his slammed the man on the steel wall,"Where is she?!"
"I don't know who you're talking about," Manta frowned,"And that's no way to speak to your father-"
"I grow tired of your games," Kaldur slammed him into the wall again,"Where is she?!"
Manta smirked at his son's anger,"Who's she?"
Kaldur slammed Manta into the wall each time he spoke a letter."A-M-E-T-H-Y-S-T!!" His patience now gone, he let all his rage and grief out on the villain,"You murdered them! My own father! You killed them! Your own flesh and blood! How could you?! For what?! What could you have possibly gained from this?!"
Manta spat out a tooth,"I did not wish to have you with that witch. She's destroyed your mind. Had it not been for her you would have been with me. You would have been here to carry on the Manta legacy! But you betrayed me for that woman-that monster! I had to find a way to make you understand that I meant business," his face grew serious,"I needed to show you just how bad I could be when I don't get what I want. I told you the night you betrayed me for the second time, that you'll get what's coming. That I'll be back and that you'll be sorry! Are you sorry now, Kaldur'ahm! Now that I've taken everything from you! Now that you know true pain will you join me?! Now that I've taken everything you care so much about, that I've taken away the things you've worked so hard to build?! Now you must join me, my son, for you have no one else-"
He looked into his son'seyes. There was no sign of his son's former self, no soul, no light, and no mercy.
Kaldur beat his father with all his force, pushing him deeper into the wall. He threw kicks and roundhouses. Not even giving the man a chance to fight back. His father coughed up blood and begged his son to stop. But Kaldur didn't listen and continued to beat the man. His father cried out in agony but that didn't faze him. He enjoyed the mans screams,"Yes father! Scream! I love to hear you cry and beg! I love seeing you in pain," he punched his father harder in the ribs,"I love feeling my fist break your bones! Scream and beg for mercy."
Kaldur continued until he knew Manta was dying. But that's no fun, he wanted to beat him more. Kaldur pinned his father against the wall, and used all his strength to have his fist tear through his father's skin, and break through the muscle, to receive his prize:his fathers rib.
Relishing in the sound of his fathers bloody screams, Kaldur plunged the bone into Manta's still beating heart.
Kaldur laughed and stomped on Manta's dying body,"Now look what you've made me do father! Now I'm the monster!"
