Ames pov
Surprisingly, even though we have 3 children, bought a house, work and live together, me and Kaldur recently got married like 2 years ago. I guess with all the kids and getting settled down and getting rid of the hero life, we never thought about it. It wasn't until Alexandria asked why I didn't have a ring that I realized we weren't married. Shocking, I know. It just with 3 kids and the fact that we have a house and are living with each other that we both just thought we were married.
Only reason why I brought this up was because we all know what happens after the wedding. And boy was that a good night I had... Anyways after that night, we had a little pillow talk and decided that we wanted another baby. I mean the kids are about to go to middle school and high school isn't far. Plus my little babies are growing up. Since they're so close in age, they haven't really dealt with babies. Therefore having a younger sibling could help them prepare for life's unexpected turns. Not I that I want them to have kids as early as me and Kal did. We were so not ready and our relationship was unstable. And they were all kinda unplanned, but not unwanted. But this time, the baby wasn't a surprise. Well not to me.

Kaldur pov
Amethyst was acting weird that night. She insisted on doing everything herself. The cooking, the cleaning, everything. She made me sit and basically just watch. She set the table herself and fixed the drinks. After we were all feed I asked her what it was all about. She got up and got a cupcake from the fridge then stared at me.
The cupcake was pink and blue with a bottle on the top. But why was I getting a cupcake?
"I don't understand."
She put her hands on her hips,"Really Kal? You don't get? You don't get what it's trying to say?"
"There is no wording," I scratched my head,"what is it trying to say?"
"If dad doesn't eat it, I will!" Tulio called.
"Why would you get," Alexandria asked,"He would give it to his favorite child and we all know who that is."
We all looked at her and Tulio said,"Opal?"
Her face turned red,"No! Me! Daddy! Can I have your cupcake?"
"No Alexandria," she put a finger to her stomach at tapped it,"your dad still needs to figure it out.
"Did it if you a stomach ache?" She shook her head,"I still don't understand, love, you have to explain what I'm getting a cupcake for. It's been a long day and I'm tired. My brain is foggy."
"Kaldur, think and think hard. Why else would I give you a cupcake with two different gender colors with a baby bottle on it?"
Opal looked at Ame,"Mother? Are you pregnant?"
I turned to her,"Are you serious?"
"You know it's a little sad that your 10 years daughter knows but not you," she shook her head then nodded with a smile,"but yes Kal. I'm pregnant."
"Finally another little sibling to look after!" Tulio said.
Alexandria glared at him,"What are you talking about? I was born first."
"No, I was."
They continued to bicker but I couldn't hear them over my excitement. I felt my face light up and heart quicken in pace as I thought about all things that I'll get to do again. Meeting them for the first time. Holding their little hands; given that Ame doesn't break my hand again. Hearing their first cry. Baby's first steps and first words. Teaching them to ride a bike, their first day of school. I'll get to be a dad again.
"Ew, mama and daddy are kissing!" Alexandria said.
I didn't even notice my actions. I apparently swooped her off her feet, carried her burial style and kissed her so passionately that it even made Opal gag.
Ame giggled as I sent kisses down her neck,"Put me down, Kal!"
"I'm going be a father!" I noticed the kids glare at me,"Again."
"Cheer up guys," Ame laughed,"Don't you think it'll be fun to have a little brother or sister?"
"No, babies cry too much." Alexandria crossed her arms.
"Don't even get me started on you, my dear," Ame said as I put her down.
"You were the worst." I stated.
"I think it's gonna be cool, but how come dad gets a sweet treat and we don't," Tulio asked staring at my cupcake,"We're gonna be hard working siblings and we need a treat too."
"Oh he'll get a sweet..." she mumbled and went into the kitchen. I guess I was the only one to hear because the kids didn't squirm or say 'ew'.
"I got you something too," Ame said as she passed around Baby Bottle Pops,"Enjoy, and you," she looked at me,"meet me upstairs to have some...alone time."
The kids looked at me then each other. Opal then spoke up,"You guys wanna go to Uncle Roy's?"
"Yes." The twins said in unison and they all rushed to get their coats and high tailed it out the door.
Leaving me and their mother to have some adult time.
