Chapter 10 part 3: The Date

“Now for the finale.” Lauren said as she parked her car. She moved closer to Camila holding a handkerchief and placed it on her like a blindfold. “What’s this for?” Camila asked holding the cloth on her eyes. “You’ll see.” Lauren said as she exited the car and opened Camila door and helped her to get outside. Camila was scared that she might trip and fall so she held Lauren’s soft hands tightly. “We’re almost here.” Lauren said holding Camila’s hand and guiding her on her walk to her surprise for her. Camila was excited. She couldn’t wait what Lauren has prepared for her. For their date.

                “Tada!” Lauren shouted as she went to Camila’s back and untied the handkerchief on her eyes. Camila was speechless. A tent with beautifully decorated cloth was on the beach together with a table and two chairs and on the table was a red rose and a heart-shaped box that contained Belgian chocolates inside and the tent was lighted with multi-colored Christmas lights. It was perfect. And Camila couldn’t say anything but she hugged Lauren tightly and whispered, “Thank you Lauren. I love you so much.” Lauren hugged Camila back and they both made their way to the tent. A waiter served them their dinner. As they were going to start eating their food, Lauren’s phone rang and it reminded her that it was now 7:00pm. The scheduled time for the fireworks by the beach. Lauren sood up and faced Camila’s chair by the ocean and she placed her chair beside Camila.

Camila questioned Lauren a look but Lauren replied with a sly smile.

The fireworks began showing up the sky and couple watched in awe of how beautiful it was. How beautiful it was booming in the sky in different colors. “This is so perfect. I love you Lauren. I’m sorry that I couldn’t prepare something spectacular on our date.” Camila said looking at Lauren still holding her hand. Lauren placed their hands on her chest on the spot where her heart was. “Your existence in my life is already spectacular for me.” Lauren said. Camila couldn’t hold her tears back and started crying in Lauren’s shoulder while Lauren hugged her. “T-Thank you so much Lauren.” She paused. “I love you so much.” Camila said. “I love you too so much.” Lauren smiled at Camila and wiped the tears on her face. They continued eating their meal while they were chatting about random things.

It was almost 10 in the evening when they decided to finish their date. Lauren drove Camila to her house and as she parked her car in front of their porch, Lauren stepped out of her car with Camila and accompanied her by their door. “Thank you Lauren.” Camila said before she stepped in her house. “My pleasure.” Lauren smiled and gave Camila one last kiss for this night. Lauren placed her hands by Camila’s hips and pulled her closer into their kiss. While Camila placed her hands on Lauren’s shoulders. As they both pulled away from each other Camila opened the door and said, “I’ll see you soon again Lolo.”

                “Anytime Camz.” Lauren said and winked at Camila and watched her enter her house and left Sinu’s car by their garage and toke a taxi that was nearby and headed home.
