The Doctor and Dean walked side by side, the autumn leaves falling down, both rushing to get to algebra before the second bell. Dean was laughing at another dumb thing The Doctor had said, while The Doctor laughed along with Dean, not really understanding what he had said that had caused his friend to laugh at him. As a cold wind blew, Dean's eyes drifted to a wind blown looking Cas, his black hair ruffled and the collar of his brown trench coat over his uniform turned up against the wind. Dean sighed, and The Doctor noticed. He smirked and scoffed. Dean turned and glared. "What?" He asked.

The Doctor rolled his eyes. "Nothing, nothing..."

Dean let his eyes linger a second longer on Cas, and then stopped The Doctor dead in his tracks, grabbing him by his sleeve. "No, I mean it, what?"

The Doctor pulled his arm away and laughed. "Dean, you are such an idiot sometimes..."

The Doctor continued his walk, but Dean chased after him, no longer worried about getting back to class. "Why am I an idiot? Do you know something?" Dean suspiciously asked.

The Doctor leaned up against a tree, relaxed and nonchalantly. "Dean, drop the act. We all know about your little thing for Cas."

Dean's face flushed bright red. He grabbed The Doctor by his shirt collar, shoving him up against a tree. "Say anything and I will kill you!" Dean growled.

The Doctor put his hands up in defense. "I never said I was going to!"

Dean let go if his friend's white collar and watched Cas as he turned to corner. He sighed, running his fingers through his own hair. The Doctor laughed. "Why don't you just go ask him out, Dean? He'd say yes." The Doctor prompted.

Dean turned to The Doctor, his eyes raging. "I can't do that!" he whined.

The Doctor smirked, seeing that he hit a nerve. "Oh, so you're scared, that's it?" The Doctor put his hand on Dean's shoulder.

Dean shook The Doctor off. "I'm not scared! Just... nervous..."

The Doctor scoffed. "I bet you can't work up the nerve to ask Cas to the dance in three weeks."

Dean glared at his friend. He didn't want to rush things with him and Cas, but he didn't want to let his friend be right. He sighed. He held out his hand and The Doctor shook it. "Fine, I'll make you eat your words, Doc, you know it!"

Castiel sat, legs crossed on his bed, humming the tune to Skid Row from Little Shop of Horrors while flipping through history notes sloppily scribbled into a red notebook. A bowl of salty pretzels sat next to him. Rory was continuously grabbing one or two of Cas's pretzels at a time and tried to catch one in his mouth after throwing it up in the air. Cas looked up and laughed at his friend's failed attempts, but he was neither focused on Rory nor his studying. He couldn't stop thinking about Dean's eyes. The way Dean had looked at him today when he passed him in the courtyard made him feel faint. Cas was in heaven.

Cas was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard a knock at the door. Rory's head snapped towards the door. "That'll be Sherlock and John. Sherlock said he found something and he wanted everyone to meet here." Rory explained.

Cas quickly shut his notebook and turned his attention to the door swinging open and the tall Sherlock Holmes strutting in, a touch of urgency in his walk, his shadow, John Watson, right on his tail, dressed in his cream colored jumper with sleeves that were way too long for him and wrapped around his fists. Cas stood up. "I'll go get Gabriel and Sam." He offered and started out of the room.

As Cas turned the corner, he found himself nose to nose with incredible green eyes. He took a deep breath and thought, Shit. Cas took a step back and blushed as Dean chuckled. "Better look were you're going next time, doll face." Dean laughed.

Dean's eyes suddenly widened as he realized what he had said. It was his turn to flush a brilliant red color now. He looked down at his feet. "Um, I didn't mean that... It just kinda slipped out, you know? Force of habit..." Dean rambled.

Cas nodded, but inside, his heart hummed. Doll face! He called me doll face! Cas thought with excitement.

Cas heard a small snicker behind him and out of the corner of his eye he saw Rory leaning up against the wall, his face red from trying to contain his laugher. Cas blushed and shouldered his way past Dean, his brown trench coat flying behind him as he swiftly maneuvered his way around the corner.

Cas sighed as Dean shuffled into the room. Cas smiled to himself as he knocked on Gabriel and Sam's door. No one answered. Curious, Cas knocked again, this time harder. Maybe someone was there and just hadn't heard him. When no one answered, Cas shrugged and headed back to the meeting.

......................................................................

As the sun beat down on the empty field, a cool autumn wind blew across the Earth, making it cold, but not too cold. Gabriel and Sam sat in the middle of the field, looking up at the brilliant blue sky. "Okay, what do you see in that one?" Gabriel asked Sam, his eyes twinkling with humor and excitement. Sam looked at the cloud Gabriel had pointed to. At first glance, Sam would have said he saw a hand pistol, but Gabriel would have thought he was violent and insane. So, he quickly settled in his second choice option. "I see a candy cane." Sam lied.

Sam flinched as Gabriel scooted a little closed towards him. Their arms brushed and Sam turned red in the face. He brushed his long hair back behind his ears and nervously laughed as Gabriel looked up at him.

"I see a closed umbrella." Gabriel said with a tired sigh.

Cautiously, Sam attempted to put his arm around Gabriel's shoulder, only to chicken out in the end and act like he was reaching for his third can of soda.

Why can't you just do it? Sam thought to himself, Why can't you tell Gabriel you like him? Sam looked into the shorter boys beautiful eyes. He felt his heart beat faster... faster...faster... Sam jolted back to his senses, realizing that Gabriel was looking at him weird. "Sam, are you okay?" Gabriel asked.

Sam falsely laughed and opened his mouth to speak. As he did, he abruptly stopped. Gabriel's face turned from carefree to worried in less than three seconds. "What was that?" Gabriel said, quickly standing up.

Sam leapt up to his feet. He had heard it too. A rustling in the bushes. The sunny day had suddenly gotten colder and the wind rushed past the two. Sam grabbed Gabriel's arm. "We should go..." He started.

Sam was cut off by Gabriel's shout. A hooded man grabbed Gabriel's arm and hit him across the back of the head with a shovel. Gabriel collapsed to the ground, out cold. Sam dropped to his knees and quickly scooped up his friend in his arms. Sam, without looking back, started to sprint through the woods. Gabriel's weight made him slower as he went. He felt a cold hand grab his ankle. Sam was on the ground now, struggling to stand as Gabriel's body weight squashed him. A sharp pain hit him on the back of the head and he was out cold.
