After Gisele's funeral and getting the 1327 house, the crew was in the backyard setting up the barbecue and trying to celebrate their victory. Teagan sat at the table with a glass of water and watched her friends around her. Roman and Tej were managing the grill, Han sat on the steps with a beer, and Brian and Mia were cuddling with baby Jack, while Dom and Letty were getting to know each other all over again.
Teagan sat there with a smile on her face, but it soon faded when Tej looked away from her. It's been two weeks since the plane crash, so she used that time to try and learn more about him and figure out what she was going to do. Nothing was the same after their little fight; he wasn't giving her the same type of attention she once loved.
The night before the barbecue she decided that the best thing for both of them was if she left to go live with her sister in East LA. She already packed her bag and it was sitting in her car in the driveway.
"Hey Mia!" Roman shouts gaining Teagan's attention again. "Better hide your baby oil." He laughs and looks back at Dom who was walking up the driveway. "I'm just playing."
"You better hide that big-ass forehead," Hobbs laughs and continues walking towards Dom and Brian with Elena right behind him. Tej spits out his drink and Teagan lets out a laugh.
"I was just joking, but whatever," Roman mutters. "Definitely not that funny."
"It's official," Hobbs says and Teagan stands up. "You're all free. It wasn't half bad, having you work for me."
"We all know you were working for me, Hobbs," Dom laughs.
Teagan makes her way inside passing Han on the stares, she wanted juice. As she's pouring herself a glass of cranberry raspberry juice Han walks. She turns to him and smiles.
"Have you told him?" He asks her and she cocks her head to the side confused by the question. "Come on, T. the lack of alcohol and puking every morning."
"Oh, no," She says finally understanding. "And I'm not going to. After lunch, I'm heading to my sisters. Without Tej."
"Why?" He asks her. "Is it his?"
"Of course it is," She says. "When we've talked about the future, of settling down, he never mentions a family. And when I do, he sorta shuts me down saying how he doesn't want kids or to be a father anytime soon. I want him to want to be a father, not be forced into it."
"Sounds reasonable," Han nods his head.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yeah, you're putting him first," He says. "Gisele did the same for me during the airplane heist. She chose my life over hers, you're doing the same. It's called love."
"All right, everybody!" They hear Tej's voice. "Let's eat."
Han and Teagan make their way outside to go sit with the others. He was supporting her with the decision of leaving, of putting someone else's needs before hers. And that's all she needed to hear. As they were walking outside, Teagan watches as Roman eats a chip from the bowl.
"First bite!" Teagan points at him and everyone looks at Roman. "He's got grace."
"House rules, man," Brian says to the now disgruntled Roman. "House rules."
Teagan walks towards the table and Tej comes up to her. He gives her a light kiss on the cheek before taking a seat and pulling her onto his lap. Dom does the same with Letty and we all look to Roman.
"Okay, Roman," Dom says. "Bless our table."
Everyone joins hands around the table and closes their eyes.
"Father, thank you for the gathering of friends," Roman starts. "Father, we give thanks for all the choices we've made, because that's what makes us who were are. Let us forever cherish the loved ones we've lost along the way. Thank you for the little angel, the newest addition to our family. Thank you for bringing Letty home. And most of all, thank you for fast cars."
