Velocity (Tej Parker)

Chapter Six

On the cargo plane, Teagan stood in between a few crates holding weapons for the crew. She never liked planes. Every time she has been on one she was either with Tej or a family member, now Tej was avoiding her and she was try to stay calm.

A little bit of turbulence hits the plane and she puts one hand on the crate next to her and the other on her lower stomach.

"I just got word they caught one of Shaw's men at the base," Tej says walking right on by his scared girlfriend. "It's time."

"Something is not right," Brian says loudly and gets off the hood of his car. "He wanted us to find that guy. Think about it. At Interpol, you were face to face with him."

"Brian, so what are you saying?" Dom asks. Everyone goes to around them, except for Teagan who stayed right where she was.

"Braga said the only way you get near Shaw is if he wants you to," Brian explains.

"Tej," Dom says figuring something out in his head. "Where's that component?"

"They're moving it to a secure location," Tej says. Dom looks around at everyone and makes eye contact with Teagan.

"Shaw ain't hitting that base," Dom says.

"He's hitting the convoy," Brian finishes the statement figuring it out as well.

While Tej, Gisele and Han were up on the bridge the convoy was scheduled to cross under the time of the attack, Brian, Dom, Roman, and Teagan were all in their cars riding the highway the opposite direction.

"Fellas, you better hurry up," Tej's voice says through the radio. "They just took the convoy. And Dom, Letty's with them."

"We stick to the plan," Dom's voice says. Teagan nods to herself before changing gears and speeding up.

"All right, you heard the man," Tej says. "Let's play this fast and clean. That thing's heading your way."

After a moment Tej's voice comes back sounding more worried. "Uh, guys, we gotta come up with another plan. They got a tank."

"I'm sorry; did you just say a tank?" Teagan asks through her radio. As they cross a bridge she spots the tank rumbling on the road. The cannon turns towards them and she shakes her head. "Shit."

Shaw fires at the four and they all move out of the way. The cars in front of them burst into flames, but Teagan swerves to get away from the crossfire. They pass the tank and Teagan lets out a sigh.

"Who's got a plan B?" Roman asks.

"Plan B?" Tej shouts. "We need a plan C, D, E... We need more alphabets!"

"Hey!" Teagan shouts into the walkie. "Everyone calm your tits, we do what we do best."

"We improvise," Brian finishes. "All right?"

With that the four of them U-turn their cars and start on the other way straight towards the tank. As they got closer Shaw decided it was alright to go over the barricade and to the other road of oncoming traffic. Behind Teagan Roman was able to make it onto the other side to follow the car. People started running around everywhere trying to get away.

"Take their attention away from the people!" Dom shouts.

The tank continues to go straight not giving a damn who they killed in the process. Teagan watches as Roman maneuvers his way in front of the tank. Just as quickly as he got in front of it, he became a hood ordainment.

"Roman, you hang in there!" Brian shouts. "Hang in there, man!"

"Somebody better do something!" Roman shouts. "I got a tank on my ass!"

"There's got to be a break up ahead!" Teagan shouts into her walkie. She was right next to the tank keeping an eye on Roman and whatever Shaw was going to do next.

She watches as the canon turns slightly to the right and aims straight ahead. Looking ahead she sees the bridge and despair covers her face. He was aiming for the bridge. The missile flies and half of the bridge falls to the ground. Dom made it onto the other side, but just barely.

To her left she sees Roman tying a cable onto the canon while standing on top of his car. In front of her, Brian speeds up and goes in a makeshift rubble ramp and ends up in front of the tank. Teagan follows shortly after ending up behind the tank. She lands roughly but lands nonetheless.

She couldn't see what was happening until she saw Roman on top of Brian's car and the Mustang completely smashed, but was being dragged by the tank. She watches Roman get into the passenger side and she speed up to be right next to him.

"Teagan!" Dom gives her her order. "That mustang would make a nice anchor."

"Yeah, I'm on it!" She shouts and speeds up.

The front of her car hits the beaten up mustang and she swerves over to the other side of the road to ride with traffic, the mustang still in front of her. She switches gears again and tries to push it over the edge of the bridge, but it doesn't work as well as she's hoped. Then as Letty was climbing on top of the tank, the car went over.

"Yes!" She congratulates herself. She looks over at Roman and Brian who were right next to her and they give her a thumbs up.

Then as Letty was making her way over to cable that was tied around the cannon, Shaw must have decided to do something so selfishly stupid. He turned the cannon at Dom, but before he could fire, the bridge quakes as the mustang hits a concrete beam. Teagan watches as Letty goes flying, but then so did Dom.

The tank was flipped over, a helicopter spiraled overhead, and Brian and Teagan stop their cars. They all jump out to see Dom and Letty safely on the other side. Teagan leans her hands on the rail and looks down at the river beneath them. They were seriously the craziest group of kids out there.
