"Hello cousin!" Kate said cheerfully. Her wings were untucked and folded behind her. Her eyes glowed golden swirls on top of green. Kate prayed that the plan would work, she didn't want to get caught impersonating a wind nymph. Who knows what would happen if that were to happen.

"Hello cousin." The naiad said softly, not looking up at Kate. "May I ask what you are doing in this part of the forest?" She asked coldly.

"I wish to speak with the dryad queen and I seem to have lost my way." Kate said. The naiad looked up at Kate for the first time. Her golden colored eyes were filled with determination and strength. She was, without question, the most beautiful creature Kate had ever seen.

"Oh?" She questioned. Her voice was cold and made Kate's heart freeze. The naiad took a step towards Kate. She looked deeply into Kate's green and gold swirling eyes. She pointed a webbed finger down at the creek. "Follow it upstream." There was a long silence, Kate couldn't speak. She could hardly move.

"Um... Thank you." She finally muttered. Kate's heart pounded in her chest. Her face was flushed with embarrassment. The naiad nodded and stepped into the creek. She submerged her body into the water and disappeared under the stream.

Kate released the breath of air she had been holding and her eyes returned to normal.

"Nice job Sissy." Dean exclaimed. He sarcastically slow clapped as he stepped out from his hiding place. "An Oscar worthy performance. I especially liked the part when you pretended to be all embarrassed around her."

"Shut up Dean." Kate grumbled. Kate had always been shy about her feelings toward girls and her brothers knew it too. Dean was particularly fond of making fun of her whenever she got flustered around them.

"Hey I'll admit it, she was hot." Dean chuckled. Sam stepped out from his hiding place behind a bush.

"So we just go upstream I guess." Sam stated.

"Let's just hope we find the queen before it gets too dark."

An hour later, the sun had set and dusk fell upon the forest. The once beautiful sky was now a dull grey. The wind whistled in the air causing Kate to shiver in the cold.

She untied her flannel and threw it over her freezing body. The shirt was warm on her arms, but her legs still shivered in the bitter cold. How far does this creek go? She wondered. It seemed to go on forever.

Kate looked at her brothers who hiked in front of her. Not once had they complained about the cold. They were strong.

Just then there was a sound of movement to Kate's right. She stopped, signaling to her brothers to do the same.

"Hello?" Kate called out. It was time to put her acting skills to good work. "Please, is someone there?" She cried. "We're lost and we can't find our way back. Can you help us?"

There was silence. Sam and Dean looked quizzically at the direction of the sound. A twig snapped behind them causing the siblings to whirl around.

Standing behind them was a girl. She had mocha colored skin and short light brown hair. Her clothes seemed to be made of leaves and other plants. On her head was a wreath of twigs and leaves. She wore a friendly smile.

"You guys need help?" She giggled. Her voice was high and soft, almost childlike.

"Uh, yeah." Sam answered.

"Well it's a good thing I found you." She laughed. "You guys are heading deeper into the forest. By the way, I'm Ash."

"My name is Sam Winchester, this is my brother Dean and my sister Kate."
