Chapter 23: A Note On My Window

Charlie's POV

The next morning, I woke up. I slept for four hours last night. I could barely sleep. I decided to take the day off and sleep in some more. Brenda made me some coffee and breakfast. She got dressed and went to work. I wished she stayed in with me today. I ate all of my breakfast and drank all of my coffee. I got dressed and took C.C. to daycare. After I dropped C.C. off, I went back home.  I gave Sarah the day off. I stayed home to watch Brendan. I put Brendan on my bed and put pillows around him so he won't fall off the bed. I went into the bathroom and left the door open so I could keep an eye on the baby. I shaved and brushed my teeth. I took a washup and changed into some jeans and a t-shirt. I changed Brendan's diaper and his clothes. I packed his diaper bag and made sure I had everything in it. 

"You ready little man? You gonna have some fun with Daddy today. Yes, you are." I said.

Brendan laughed and I gave him a kiss on his check. We left the house. I put him in his car seat and buckled him up. I got into my car and went to the store.  I drove to the clothes store to buy new clothes. I had Brendan in his stroller. I picked out three shirts and four pants. Then I picked out some clothes for to Brendan to match me. We gonna look cute together. I paid for all of my stuff and left the store. I buckled up Brendan in his car seat. Then I took Brendan to the park and called Sam.

"Hello?" said Sam.

"What's up, Sam?" I said.

"Nothing much. Just chilling with the boys today. Diane had to work. I had to take the boys for their checkup today. Actually, I'm just leaving the doctor's office." said Sam.

"Can you meet me at the park?" I asked.

"Sure. No problem." said Sam.

Meanwhile at Tracy's house....

"Hey ma! Thanks for bringing Trey over today!" said Tracy.

"Sure. I'll be back to pick him up later. I'm gonna get my hair and nails done then I got to shop for groceries. That boy eats like he grown." said Ma.

"Mommy, look what grandma got me!" said Trey.

"Yes. I see. Do you want to go to the park today?" I asked.

"Yay!" said Trey.

"I gots to go! I don't want to miss my appointment." said Ma.

"Trey! Let's go to the park and I'll take you to McDonalds for lunch later, ok." I said.

"I get a toy, too?" asked Trey.

"Yeah, baby boy." I said.

"Can I roll with you?" said Morgan.

"Ok." I said.

"Where's Aisha?" said Morgan.

"Probably with some girl in her room." said Tracy.

"I heard that." said Aisha.

"Well, look who's up?" said Tracy.

"Good morning sweetness. You made my breakfast?" asked Aisha.

"I ain't your damn slave! You are a grown-ass woman! Fix your own breakfast!" said Tracy.

"Alright then!" said Aisha.

"And stop calling me sweetness." said Tracy.

"I'm sorry baby." said Aisha.

"Ya'll belong together." said Morgan.
