Brenda's POV
I've been planning this for weeks. I finally got the weekend off and I'm going to taking Charlie on a surprise trip. I already packed our bags and Charlie has the weekend off. Jr is staying with a friend. C.C. and Brendan are staying with my mom for the weekend. I figure we could use a little us time. Since Brendan was born, we haven't had anytime time for us. Brendan has been through a lot since he was born. He was actually born prematurely. He was so tiny, you couldn't even hold him because you were afraid you were gonna break him. Now he is getting bigger and stronger everyday. He reminds me of when Jr. was a baby. He's doing so well that we haven't had any recent health scares. Then pretty soon C.C. will be going to Pre-K next year. She's so smart like her father. Enough about the kids. I can talk my head off about them because I love them that much but I gotta finish packing. Once I finished everything, I slipped into something comfortable and climbed into bed with Charlie. He looks so handsome when he's asleep. Finally I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning I woke up and made breakfast for C.C. and Charlie. Charlie came downstairs to join me for breakfast. I felt his arms around my waist and he kissed my neck. I giggled and told him to have a seat.
"Here you go baby. I made your favorite breakfast." I said.
"You sure did, baby. What's the occasion?" he asked.
"Well, I have a surprise for you. We are going on a trip. Just the two of us." I said.
"Sounds great, baby! What about the kids? How are we gonna find a sitter?" he said.
"My mom is coming over in an hour. So eat up and so we can get ready before she gets here." I said.
"Hmm. I could use a vacation. So where are we going?" he asked.
"I told you it's a surprise!" I said.
"Aw mann! Hey C.C.! Do you know what mommy's surprise is?" he asked.
"No." said C.C.
"Charles Gibson! I can't believe you asking a three year old that!" I said.
"I figured she knew." he said.
"Well she doesn't!" I said.
Charles POV
I don't know if going on this trip is such a good idea. I mean after what I saw and heard on the news, should I tell Brenda? If I do then she'll cancel the trip and who knows how long we'll be able to go on a trip just the two of us. It's like Sam said, Morgan doesn't know where we live and she can't finds us. I still can't believe they let that bitch out on good behavior. I don't want to worry Brenda with this and I don't want to relive nightmares of what happen. It took a long time for me and Brenda to get over it. C.J. forgotten about a year later. So I finish eating breakfast and went upstairs to shower. Then I changed into a pair of brief boxers, a wife beater, a white tee, a pair of white jeans and a blue plaid shirt. I put on my blue sneakers. I combed out my hair and put in curl activator in my hair. It makes my curls pop and Brenda loves them. I grew my hair out into a fro and the sides and back are shaved a little bit. I dialed Sam's number because I wanted to let her know I'm going out of town in case she calls and I'm not home.
"Hey Sam!" I said.
"Hey! What's up?!" said Sam.
"Nothing. Just me and my daughter eating breakfast." I said.
"I'm eating breakfast with my boys and my wifey." said Sam.
"I was just calling to let you know I'm going out of town today." I said.
