"Nicki?! Chris?!" I heard a familiar voice yell out and that's when everything got awkward.

It was August. I backed away from Chris as quick as possible but there was no point because August had already seen us kissing. He walked in the room.

"Nicki...can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked me, taking off his black shades.

"Yeah, sure, let's go outside." I said as we walked to the lobby of the building.

"I just wanted to apologize for how I've been acting towards you, especially during the beginning of the tour. I feel like I wasn't being that good friend and not talking to you, not keeping up with you, wasn't a good thing. I'm sorry for all of that Nicki. You're the little sister I never had but I'm glad that I have." He apologized to me.

"Awwww, August of course I accept your apology! I miss you too as well." I said, hugging him tight and he spun me around, making me giggle.

"So uhhh, what happened in there? You and Chris dating now?" Aug asked me.

"Since you already saw it, I might as well tell you. So yes...we are dating. But please don't tell anyone because you know that the public would go crazy if I was dating one of my backup dancers," I told August.

"So? JLo dated one of her backup dancers and nobody really cared, and why you scared? It's not bad to let everyone know that you're in a happy relatiobship with someone that makes you happy!" He told me.

"Okay but Aug, the fans want me with someone popular and in the same league as me, who's well known, and rich. And we all know Chris is not that." I stressed to him.

"But that's the thing Nick, you need to realize that's it's not ALL about what the fans want. Think for yourself sometimes. Yes fans are important but you make the decisions and it's your choice! It's your relationship, not theirs. Chris may not be any of what they want but he looks like that type of material and he's an amazing dude, amazing for you." August advised me. "Stop accommodating what others are telling you all the time, and do your own thing."

August was right. What could possibly go wrong if I tell everyone that I'm finally in a relationship with Chris?

But before I tell ANYONE about me and Chris's relationship I need to tell my little brother Amari about it. He's very important to me, and he needs to know before anyone else does.

After me and August's talk I went back to dance practice, and Chris was waiting there for me.

"Everything alright?" He asked me.

"Yeah...me and August had a slight problem with each other and he just wanted to apologize to me. We're cool now." I told Chris.

"Sounds nice. Uhhh, I think the other dancers are gonna come later on so do you just wanna practice? Me and you...together?" He asked me.

"Yes!" I said, plugging my phone into the aux and playing "Grand Piano" which was one of my songs that was going to be on the album.

"Chris I think I want to slow dance." I said.

"Okay. Just wrap your arms around my neck and I'll hold your waist with my hands." He told me the steps and we did as supposed.
