Me and Jasmine have gotten closer and closer each day. I'm happy I met someone like her.

Ever since that phone conversation with Nicki, she hasn't called me back to apologize or anything. Not even talk to me.

She must've moved on, but like I said it may seem like I have already moved on but I'm not even close. I still love that woman and the love I have for her isn't going away any time.

"What are you thinking about?" Jasmine asked me and I snapped out of my daydream about Nicki.

"Nothing, just daydreaming." I mumbled, continuing to eat my food considering she took me out to eat brunch.

"What are you daydreaming about? Me and you, right?" She asked, cheesing but it was the total opposite.

"Uhm, yeah I guess." I lied.

"Look, Chris ever since I saw you early this morning you've been acting slightly different. Everything okay? I don't want us separating after we've gotten so close." She said.

"Everything is alright Jasmine you ain't gotta worry about me, and I noticed that you've been too worried about me." I told her.

"Yeah, I have my reasons for that, because you're my boyfriend and I'm supposed to be worried about you!" She exclaimed.

"But damn Jasmine, don't you ever get tired? I'm a grown man and I can take care of myself. I understand you wanna help me with moving on from my past relationship, but I can do it on my own. I don't need your help, or anyone's of that matter ." I explained.

"It seems to me you don't want my help moving on because you just haven't moved on yet." She folded her arms.

"You're right. I haven't moved on yet, I still think about Nicki from time to time!" I shouted.

There was silence between us both and she paused, just staring at me giving me the death glare.

"Honestly, why are you still thinking about her?! Chris you should be thinking about me! I'm your girlfriend now, not her so you should get your mind off of her!" She furrowed her eyebrows, taking a sip of her water.

"And honestly you can't come into a man's life expecting him to change his feelings about his ex when he just got out of a relationship, and put all his focus on you!" I said. "It don't work like that and you need to understand that!"

"Then there's no point of having this relationship. When you're not willing to put the past behind you, because your ex IS your past. And you should be focusing on the present." She told me, getting up.

"Sit back down Jasmine and listen. This your problem. When you don't wanna hear the truth, you get up and leave. But you don't run away from your problems." I advised her.

"Oh, let me guess, that's what you learned from your past relationship too?" She asked.

"No. I've known that all the time. So sit down and let's talk this out." I say.

"Chris I don't have time to argue with you, I don't even feel good and I just wanna go home and go to sleep." She said, walking away.
