What if

You were walking

Walking, walking

Uncontrollably

At a steady rate

You cannot stop

You cannot turn

If you're too slow,

You die

If you're too fast,

You die

Towards an unknown

Destination;

Where, upon reaching

You die.

You start out fresh

And energetic

And lively.

But along the way

You loose it all

Slowly,

But surely.

You try to replenish

But your efforts

Can never bring about

A factory reset.

Along the way

You meet others

Of the same nature;

Walking

But towards

Different destinations.

Some walk with you

Some hold your hand

Some find their stop

Before you.

Some drive knives

Into your fragile heart

That for some reason,

Keeps beating

Just till you reach your stop.

Along the way,

You find things

Some beautiful

Some bad

Some of more value

Than others

You strive

To hoard these finds

Close to you

Even though

You'll loose them all

When you reach your

Destination

And you die.

Sound familiar?

Creepy, I know. xx
