Klaus, Freya, Hayley and I were gathered around the table in the ballroom.

Freya was holding the cracking pendant. "Despite the spell I cast, the very intregrity of the pendant is growing unstable." She put the pendant down on notes scribbled in what seemed to be Arabic. "It won't be able to hold Elijah's soul much longer. We need to find a way to resurrect him tonight, or we could lose him forever.

"To do that, we'll need more power," Hayley told us.

"Let me guess, a grand sacrifice," I told them.

"I say we kill our enemy, and sacrifice her, and then I can channel the power from the Hollow's death, raise Elijah's body and place him back where he belongs," Freya told us.

"We've tried everything," Hayley told us.

"And we've come close," Freya told us. "Labonair blood is her Achellis' heel. Hayley, your blood weakened her, but you've technically been dead for years. So it won't be strong enough to kill her. If we forge a blade using the blood of the last living Labonair..."

"We don't want Hope involved," Klaus told her.

"She's already involved," Freya told us. "So is Rae."

I sighed, putting a paper of one of Rae's sketches of the Ouroboros symbol on the table. "Rae has been obsessed with the symbol that follows the Hollow. A serpent consuming itself. She said she first saw it in one of her psychic dreams, and now she sees it every night."

"Now, I believe this is showing us the key, the only means to which she can be destroyed is her own blood," Freya told us. "The Hollow's one end of the Labonair bloodline. Hope is the other. And we need to close that loop. The best way to do that is for Hayley to wield a weapon forged with Hope's blood. When she stabs her, it's only then the Hollow can be obliterated completely."

Hayley stood. "Then make it work. I'll talk to Hope."

        *********

Freya had figured out that the Hollow was using a totem to protect herself and render herself unkillable, and she sent Rebekah out to go destroy it.

I was sharpening a blade.

Klaus walked closer. "Rebekah's not answering. Neither is Kol."

"The sooner we end this, the better," I told him.

"No, we have to assume that Inadu's totem is still intact," Klaus told me. "We cannot attack her until we destroy it. I will go after Rebekah, find the totem."

"Fine, but I won't let Freya and Hayley go alone," I told him.

Klaus gave me a look. "Kaylin."

"Look, Nik, I know  you want me to be safe, okay?" I asked. "I want Freya and Hayley to be safe, too. They're on a suicide mission, and I won't lose anyone else I love. The Hollow can kill both of them, and they need help. We're out of time." I gestured to the pendant. "The cracks are getting worse. You and Rebekah will destroy the totem. We will go after Inadu."

"What about Hope and Rae?" Klaus asked.

"I'll compel them a nanny," I told him. "We don't have another choice. You're the best advantage we got. Be fast, be brutal, destroy the totem, or we're dead."

Klaus sighed, nodding, walking closer, picking up three knives from the table, handing them to me. "Here. For you, Freya and Hayley tonight. Anoint these with a drop of Hope's blood. They'll serve you well." I took the knives. "Be careful."
