Evangeline's POV

I was more than ready to claw my eyes out of my head. This ass-hat just goes into my closet and starts grabbing my clothes and tossing them onto my bed. Who does he really think he is though. He's literally trying to strip my room bare and shove my things into my suitcases. But please believe I'm not making it an easy task for him. The more clothes he packs the more clothes I unpack.

"You can stop trying to pack my things up because I want allow you to move me to God knows where with a pack I don't know a damn thing about. Not to mention that I truly don't know much about you besides your name and rank Alpha Gaberiel. You must be crazy if you think I'm going anywhere with you." I stated snatching my things from his arms and placing them back where they belong.

"This would be easier if you comply to my wishes. After you're packed we can drive to my territory and that way we can get to know each other. Its about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Maine to New Hampshire we have plenty of time. Just please give me a chance to prove to you that I'm worth it." His sincerity penetrated the walls I so badly wanted to keep built just in case he decided that I wasn't enough.

I have always felt like the ugly duckling living in a predominately white and mixed raced area. Not because of race but because of the views of society that has been drilled into my head about the darker skinned African American women. It has taken so long to get over those thoughts and to have this Alpha who wants to be my mate have those ugly thoughts comeback scares the shit out of me.

"I will give this a chance but why must we leave now? Why can't you give me more time to say goodbye?" My pleading and puppy dog eyes was sure to work on him because they worked on everyone.

"I must get you to my territory and settle you in as quickly as possible. Besides I don't want to give you a chance to change your mind." He finished that statement while rubbing his neck with a light blush coating his cheeks. I smiled on the inside at how we were sort of thinking alike. I knew that he wouldn't waiver on this decision so I knew exactly how to stay until at least tomorrow.

"If I let you mark me can we stay until tomorrow evening.?" I watched him freeze all motion and then appear in front of me faster than I could've believed possible if I hadn't been paying attention.

"Are you sure?" he asked as he pushed my hair over to my left shoulder while staring into my eyes. Nodding my head to approve he pushed me up against my wall and kissed me fiercely. I barely time to comprehend what was happening before he lifted my legs around his waist for better leverage to my neck. I couldn't help but kiss him back just as fiercely.

"Wait.. Wait how old are you? I can't just do this and not know how old my mate is. I'm 18 by the way." I stated breaking the kiss and breathing heavily.

"22!!" He stated before he covered my mouth with his again. He had began to kiss down the right side of my neck and when he got to the middle of my neck exactly under my ear and above my shoulder he bit into me. At first bite the pain almost was unbearable but then he began to lick at my neck igniting sparks that grew more intense with each stroke of his tongue. When he was finished I couldn't help but to smile slightly. I officially had a mate and I was over-joyed about it. I had grew exhausted and could barely stand on my feet without falling. He swooped me into his arms and carried me over to my bed and tucked me in.

"Sleep Angel I'll take care of the rest of the packing." That was the last thing I heard before I drifted off to sleep.

                                                          ~Four Hours Later~

Waking up I didn't expect most of my room to be completely packed and boxed up. I climbed out of my bed and grabbed my phone noticing it was after six in the evening. Deciding to go downstairs to talk with my parents about me and Gabe I was surprised to see all of my close friends and family there chatting and laughing together. Gaberiel had walked over to me and interlocked our hands and kissed my cheek.

"I know you wanted a proper goodbye so I asked your parents to help me do this for you Angel." he kissed my cheek again and pulled me into the room with the others. "Thank you!" I whispered to him.

I was extremely pleased that he had did this for me and I was glad that I wouldn't have to jump from house to house to say goodbye. I was grateful and honestly this mating was seeming to be awesome if this is anything to look forward to.

Madison had all but started breaking out into song that I had listened to her advice and given this thing a try. We were both now Luna's and to be honest I was glad that I would have her to talk to if I needed any type of guidance, help or just to talk to. After all she is my best friend and how would I make it without her amazing advice. I was surprised how supportive everyone was of me and Gaberiel but that might've had something to do with him being the Alpha of the largest pack in North America and 3rd in the world. Yeah I learned that tonight too and that he was supposedly cold-hearted and vicious with a killer army.

I definitely cried laughing when my older twin siblings, my daddy, Maddy, And Daniel ganged up on him with threats of what they'll do if he breaks my heart. I have to admit that tonight was great and I honestly cried when everyone was leaving and saying goodbye. I couldn't believe that I was actually going to live with my mate tomorrow. My mate! This hybrid was going to live with her powerful Alpha mate. Score!

When everyone was gone I was completely beat so me and Gabe went to bed especially because we are leaving at 8 a.m and it was already 10 at night. After showering and preparing for bed I awkwardly climbed in the bed next to Gabe. I didn't know if I should stay on my side or cuddle him so I just turned on my side and stayed there. Gabe had other plans obviously he pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around me.

"Evangeline, I tasted something different in your blood when I marked you. Do you think you could tell me why that is." he stated rubbing circles into my side

"I'm a hybrid of course my blood taste different." I nervously answered

"When I gain your trust will you tell me truth because I know you're a lot more powerful then the others realized my wolf senses it." he stated once again this time he pulled me closer.

"I will tell you eventually! You're my mate and you do deserve to know, its just I can't tell you now. I'm sorry!" I explained turning over to face him. He looked at me with a look of understanding before he nodded and kissed my forehead.

"Good night Angel!" He said rubbing my cheek.
