If You Say So

Where the hell was the keys!? Suddenly it felt like all the pain was gone. I rushed throught the hotel room and tried to find the car keys, but I didn't find them. Had the weird men take them or did Hunter have them or was they just hidden somwhere in the hotel room? Then something hit me, why hadn't the man who had taken my time died? I just don't understand this fake time thing. But I couldn't think about that now.

I looked down on my clock, 15 minutes. I didn't have time to think about the keys, I had to run.

I ran out throught the door, throught the hallway, down the staris, out the big entrance door and out on the street. I totally forgot about all that had happened. The pain, the fact that I just had got raped. I shuddered just when I thought about it. But all that mattered now was to get to Hunter. I wasn't so afraid of dying, it wasn't that. It was just that I couldn't die without saying goodbye to Hunter.

I took out my steps and swung my arms so that I ran faster. A couple of blocks down the street had the man said. Could I make it?

-------------

Hunter desperately tried to get out of the chair he was bound to. What was happening? And what had these people done to Skyler? The two men who first had kidnapped him still sat and stared at him. He was in some kind of car park.

Suddenly a car drove into the car park and parked right beside Hunter. Three men went out of the car. Hunter slightly recognized the men. They had been at the hotel in their bathroom when he got kidnapped. What had they done to Skyler, Hunter thought angry.

"You can release him now." One of the men that had come with the car said.

They tied Hunter loose and took away the tape over his mouth. Hunter quickly stood up. "What have you done to Skyler!?" He screamed frustrated.

"Oh you mean that girl back in the hotel? She's probebly running here right now. You have to hurry if you want to save her."

Hunter widened his eyes and quickly ran out the car park with the men left laughing behind him.

------------

I looked at my clock while I ran, 6 minutes. Had I already ran for almost ten minutes? I really hoped that the guys hadn't fooled me, that I ran the wrong way. My breathing got hevier and I got more and more tired. My legs was burning, but I had to continue running.

My clock said 59 seconds left and I was just about to stop running and give up. But then I saw someone come running towards me. I ran faster again, pushed myself to run faster.

"Hunter!" I screamed with tears in my eyes. He was so far away but still so close.

"Skyler!" I heard Hunter yell back.

19 seconds left...

Hunter stretched out his arm towards me and I did the same.

9 seconds left...

Please let me make it!

5, 4, 3....

I jumped into Hunters arms and we fell down on the ground. I looked at my clock, it was going up. I let out a loud sigh and slowly started to cry.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you okey?" Hunter slowly let go of my arm. "Did they do something to you?"

It felt like I had a big lump in my throat. I swallowed and smiled a bit. "It dosen't matter. The only thing that matters now is that we both are alive and that we are here together."

Hunter slowly dried the tears off my cheeks and then we kissed. When the kiss was over we both stood up and started walking.

But we hadn't come long before a bunch of cars drove up around us. Crap, I thought and then me and Hunter started running. But the timekeepers quickly was outside their cars and we were surrounded.

Please, say that this isn't happening...

Around fifteen or maybe even twenty people covered in black surrounded me and Hunter. They all had guns. At one end of the circle three well known timekeepers stood and glared at us. It was the two guys and the blonde girl that had benn in mine and Hunter's first hotel room a couple of weeks ago. It felt like we had been in New Greenwich a much longer time than we really had.

It was probebly the men that had been in our hotel room earlier that had called the timekeepers. I'm sure me and Hunter are worth quite a bit.

There was nothing we could do, we were cought. But then maybe it's not that bad to be in prison?

Suddenly I felt something tingle through my body. I looked down at my clock and saw that my time just was running away.

"Hunter? What is happening."

Hunter looked at his clock too. "I think they have found a way to take away our fake time."

New tears rolled down my cheeks again. "They are going to kill us. We are going to die, aren't we?" I covered my mouth with my hand and tried to control my breathing. It was weird that I got so upset even tho I just nearly had died.

Hunter took a step closer to me and took my head in his hands. "No, if I just try maybe I can convince them to let you go..."

I quickly shook my head. "No, you can't do that. I can't keep on living if they kill you." I slowly sat down on the hard ground and Hunter sat down in front of me.

He nodded. "Okey. Then we don't have much of a choice, do we?" I saw tears in Hunter's eyes.

"I don't think so..." I looked at my clock. I had about one minute left. "I just want you to know Hunter, that I love you and..." More tears fell down my cheeks. "..and you are the best thing that ever have happened to me. You have made me happier than ever." I smiled.

"I love you more than anything Sky."

We wrapped our arms around each other and kissed. Then suddenly everything went black and Hunter slipped out of my embrace....
