Ten weeks later
I looked in the mirror seeing the bump. Jake came up behind me. "Ash will be here in a few minutes." He said. I nodded. His hands on my belly felt good. I leaned back against him. "Your doing good baby. Your halfway there. Ready to find out what this one is?" He asked. I nodded. He kissed my cheek.
"Who were you wanting to see?" He asked. "My childhood doctor and nurse. My grandparents are moving to Hereford to be closer. My parents have found out about Wyatt. They're moving in with my grandparents and want me and Wyatt to live there with them." I said. He kissed my temple.
He knew about my parents leaving me after the barrel racing incident. He kissed my other temple. "Cheyenne!" Ash called as he came through the front door. I pulled the long sleeve shirt down over my belly.
Jake kissed my cheek once more. "Might as well go. Or else your going to be late for the appointment." He said. I nodded walking out of the bedroom to greet my brother. "Hey baby sis!" Ash said with Wyatt clinging to his leg.
I had told my brother last week that I was pregnant. When he asked who's baby it was I nodded towards Wyatt and he understood that it was that cowboy's. "Don't worry about the munchkin and I. I've got an entire morning to day planned. Most of it involves him helping
out with his horse." He said."Alright. Be good for your uncle Wyatt." I said. "I will." Wyatt said. Jake and I went to the doctors office and sat in the waiting room until I was called back. "Nice to see you again." The nurse said.
"And you too Jake." She added. I sat down on the table. She checked my vitals before having me lay back. "So the gender today?" She asked. "Yes." I said. The doctor came in. "Nice to see you Cheyenne. How's Wyatt?" He asked. "Regular four year old boy." I said.
"Alright so the gender today." He said. Jake reached over and squeezed my hand. "And this is Bixly's." He said. "Unfortunately. Yes." I said. "Well everyone knows what he's like and won't let him even close to you, this one and Wyatt." He said.
After a few clicks on the keyboard and moving the wand around he turned the screen. "Well I hope this one is as healthy as Wyatt was. May be a little smaller than him when he was three weeks old.
"But I hope you don't mind it being a little girl." He said. Jake stood up to look closer. He then chuckled. "Well looks like you and I will be busy with Wyatt and now this one." He said. Everything on the unborn baby was fine.

I sat down on the couch. Wyatt came up and stuck his head on my belly. "Mama when's sissy going to be here?" He asked. "In a few weeks Wyatt." I said. He looked a little disappointed.
"Cheyenne!" "Mom I'm resting." I yelled. I took a deep breath as Jake came in from work. I got up off the couch to get a hug from him. "Hey baby." He said hugging me back. "She's driving me crazy. She's trying to get Wyatt to go live with her and dad." I said.
"She's not going to be able to. You have legal custody over that boy. It's your decision." He said. "I know. But I want her out of here. I've already asked and told her to get out but she refuses." I said. "My house. My rules. She will leave when I tell her something she doesn't want to hear." He said before kissing my forehead.
He could tell I was stressing and knew it wasn't good for the unborn baby. "Go lay down and get some rest." He said. I nodded.
Jake
Her mother won't leave my house? Not having it especially when she's been stressing her out. I entered the kitchen and leaned on the doorway. She noticed me right away. Wyatt spotted me and slid off his chair. "Jakey!" He said. I picked him up. "And how was your day?" I asked him.
He rested his head on my shoulder. A silent answer for terrible. "Why don't you go and pick out a movie in your room to watch. I'll watch it with you little man." I whispered in his ear. He pulled his head up and nodded.
I set him down. He ran straight to his room. "I don't appreciate you picking up my grandson like that." The woman spat. "And I don't appreciate you waltzing into my house. Taking over everything and stressing out my girl." I told her.
"Your house? Your girl?" She asked. "Yes. My house. I offered to help her when Wyatt's father wasn't around. She's my girlfriend and once his father went to prison I made a promise to her brother that I'd take care of them both. If you don't think I'm doing a good enough job of taking care of them then you can get out and never come back.
"She's already had plenty of stress put on her. She doesn't need your BS too. No wonder she was so much happier after you left. I'd say Ash did a better job of being there for her than you. He was the first one to the hospital that night and the last one to leave her side.
"You on the other hand were the last to show and the first to leave. And when that baby arrives I'll be the first one there and the last one standing by her when someone like you tries to take it away. You don't deserve your daughter. The way you've treated her. She's told me everything about how you treated her.
"Her dad did a better job at raising her and Ash than you did. I'm surprised he isn't here to back me up. She asked you to leave once then told you to leave. That means get the hell out of my house before the sheriff shows up and puts you in cuffs for trespassing." I told her.
She only glared. "You still can't do anything to me boy." She sneered. In a few short minutes the sheriff was at my house hauling her off. Never cross me or someone I love dearly. I told the sheriff about what had been happening the past few days or I should say seven weeks. He nodded and bid me farewell before getting into his cruiser with her in the backseat.
