Two Best Friends Can't Fall In Love....Can They?

Chapter Seven:

After we had finished bowling and lunch, we went back to my place. We decided to start planning for the trip to the haunted house and the chocolate factory, I have been wanting to go their as soon as I found out there was a haunted house, I don't know if it's real or not but we're gonna find out. It's gonna be so funny because Ryan is scared of ghosts but hell he said for me he will come.

"So where are we gonna go" Ryan asked.

"Well we will go to Junee first because that is where the haunted house and the chocolate factory is, but there isn't much there so we could stay at the next town over?" I asked.

"That sounds good, what are the towns near?" He said.

"Um Wagga Wagga, I think that will be the best place to stay" I thought.

"Sure, they don't have a bowling centre do they?" He muttered.

"Umm" I murmured while looking on the internet "yes they do"

"Dammit" he said as I laughed at him.

"When did you want to go?" I asked.

"How about next week?" Ryan mentioned.

"Do you think we have enough money to do that next week?" I asked.

"Yeah I've been saving, cause I know you need a holiday" Ryan smiled at me.

"Lets do it then, lets book a hotel" I smiled back.

So we got our phones out and started looking at places to stay at. We didn't want to stay at a fancy one so we decided a nice cheap option.

"Look at this one, $300 for 3 nights" Ryan pointed out.

"Let's do it" I clicked on a few buttons to book it.

"Woo hoo, I'm really excited to travel with you" he held up his hand to give me a high five.

"Eh" I shrugged while laughing and that's when I felt him tickling me again.

"It's says only one king bed tho, we need to find a different one" I whispered.

"Are you crazy Sal, you sleep in my bed all the time and I sleep in yours?" Ryan exclaimed "what's the different on this trip"

"Are you sure it's okay" I asked and he nodded.

I nodded back and paid the booking, now all we had to do was wait til next week.

"Now that booking has been paid, let's lay here and watch a movie" Ryan asked.

I nodded and laid down with him, he picked the movie which was "The Guardian"

"You want me to cry don't you" I smirked at him "you just want cuddles"

He smiles cheekily "do I need permission to have your cuddles"

I shook my head and rested myself comfortably next to him. He had an arm around my shoulder already.

Throughout the movie, I could feel Ryan trace his fingers up and down my arm which made me fall asleep.

"Ryan where are you" I said on the phone to Ryan.

"I'm nearly there Sal, I just finished packing" Ryan said back.

"Well we need to go if we want to beat this storm" I mentioned.

"Yeah babe I'm just around the corner" he said.

"Ryan I told you to cut that out" I scolded him.

"Sorry it's a habit" Ryan apologised, "I'm pulling up now"

"Okay see you in a second" I hung up the phone and started bringing my suitcase down.

As I walked out the front door with my suitcase, I see Ryan walking towards my car with his. We put our suitcases in the boot of my car and say goodbye to our parents and off we went.

"Are you gonna be alright to drive?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah I'll do some driving now and then we can switch. And switch again after that if you want, it's a 6 to 7 hour drive and we should switching every 2 hours" I explained.

Ryan just nodded and relaxed in his seat. He changed the CD and looked for a song to play which was Katy Perry - Roar.

"What time should we be arriving by?" I asked looking at the clock, it was only 9.30am now.

"About 3 or 4?" He questioned.

"Yeah depends how long we stop for lunch and apparently there's a storm out that way" I mentioned.

"Serious, I hope we don't hit the storm" he said

"Same it could be very dangerous" I replied.

A few hours later, Ryan was driving and we had stopped for lunch. We only had like 3 hours to go and the weather had gotten worse, it looked like we were driving straight towards it.

"The worst part about travelling would have to be driving to the destination" I said in a bored tone.

"You are correct babe, I'm so bored" he replied.

"Ryan, why do you keep calling me that" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe I just like to call you that" he smiled at me which made me blush alittle.

"I'm nothing like your other babes tho" I whispered.

"But you are way better than them, you are more beautiful, smart, funny and caring" dammit Ryan, I'm a tomato now.

"Are you being serious" I shook my head at him.

He looked at me for a quick second and gave me crooked smile.

"Shut up loser" I said which made him laugh.

"I didn't say anything but it's okay, I love ya tho" he said

"I love you too" more than you ever know I thought in my head.

"Are you ready to drive again?" He said as I yawned.

I just nodded and he pulled over so we could switch.

"Let me know if you get too tired though or if you get scared cause we heading to the middle of the storm now" he said very concerned.

"I'll be alright, I'll just sleep when we get to the hotel" I reminded him.

He just nodded and focused his eyes on the road. He was right, the road was wet from the rain that was pouring down, I couldn't see in front of me. The rain only looked like it was going to get worse as I could see lightning in the distance.

I could feel a yawn appearing on my face, eyes closed for just a second but it was to late..... All of the sudden, it was pitched black.
