"I didn't expect a reunion with members of Coven Grandiss," Lady Castell words trailed off as she shared glances with mother and I.

"I thought the Castell's residence was in Spain?" Mother finally took seat left of me, adjacent to Lady Castell who wasn't much farther.

"Times are rough in Spain, the Leaux's are wrecking havoc," Lady Castell's expression was crestfallen, she gripped onto her purse's handle.

"But, now the Castell's have reunited again with Grandiss," Her face immediately lit up, "We can renew our alliance."

My mother's offered a sincere smile, but shook her head, "We must first discuss of the situation the children have...set before us."

Lady Castell eyes darkened, "Ah, yes." But she refrained from calling me any names,  acknowledging who I was.

"Well," Sir Chairman looked over his documents, "Lady Grandiss—"

"Why do the lot of you keep calling her Lady! Whatever happened to the weak Ivanov?" Julien snapped and didn't hesitate to shoot me a poisonous look.

"There is much to explain," Lady Castell stroked her Julien's shoulder, "But, you mustn't speak to Lady Grandiss like that. Ivanov was just an alias, and you won't dare to spill that secret either."

Julien immediately hushed, crossing his arms in frustration. Even I was lost, confused, and dazed on the respect I was receiving by a lady of one of the greatest covens. Hell, she even told Julien to shut up for my sake.

"Um," Sir Chairman awkwardly coughed, "As I was saying, Lady Grandiss accidentally was pushed by Mr. Castell, releasing the fumes of the sleeping potion." He then took another glance at the document, most likely the one Dr. Aragon filled out, "But, Dr. Aragon, a staff member who reviewed the situation, said there was still a magical offense in this."

My face felt hot from guilt and embarrassment, "It was an accident...!"

"You shouldn't be carrying around dangerous potions that are magic infused in the first place," Julien said dryly.

"Wait," My mother couldn't help but almost stutter, "You said magic was infused in this potion?"

Sir Chairman nodded his head, "Yes, I am surprised myself because Lady Grandiss isn't capable of using magic."

"There's been, uh, sudden changes," I meekly spoke out, which everyone focused their gaze at me.

"Dr. Aragon said that I might've used magic without even knowing it," I pointed to the document on Sir Chairman's desk, "I think he wrote it somewhere."

My mother immediately placed her hands on my shoulders, looking dead in my eyes, "Caroline, you can use magic?"

I knew what this meant to mother and I was almost scared to say yes but I couldn't lie, the evidence was there,

"Yes."

Julien clapped his hands in applause, "Congratulations, so does every student in this academy. Now, can she get her punishment?"

With a blink of the eye, Lady Castell slapped the back of Julien's head, "Don't talk to her like that."

Julien only rubbed the back of his head, a sore look spread across his face.

"Sir Chairman, I hate to be like this, but can Caroline's punishment be out of school suspension?"

The room went silent and I almost felt like bursting into tears. Why mother? I thought it was a good thing I could use magic.

"But why, Madam?" Sir Chairman cocked a gray eyebrow up.

"This is extremely important to the Coven, and I feel that it would be a good opportunity to suspend Caroline."

Julien laughed aloud, "Of course! That's perfect."

Mother looked towards Lady Castell, "And it would also be perfect to discuss of an alliance, Lady Castell. To relive old times, yes?"

Lady Castell firmly nodded, "Of course, Miss Ravenwing."

"As confusing as this is," Sir Chairman grabbed a stamp and rose it, "Caroline Grandiss, you have been suspended from this academy until further notice." He slammed the stamp onto the front of a manilla folder, it read 'GRANDISS, C.'

"Ah, Sir Chairman," Lady Castell rose from her seat in elegance, "Julien will be having an early dismissal, if you don't mind."

Sir Chairman let out a hearty chuckle, "How could I mind, Lady Castell? I'll sign him off, as well."

Both mother and Julien's mom strode off into the exit of Sir Chairman's office, then mother halted.

"Aren't you guys coming as well?"

Julien stood up from his chair, "Why? For what?"

"Witchy business, something that is new to you, Julien," Lady Castell snickered as she rose her hand to her smile.

Julien and I didn't have much of a choice but to follow. His scowl described my emotions perfectly as we walked side by side.
