Chapter 10
Me and Stiles went to Dayton's with the neckless to see if he knew anything about it. When we got inside he had a sick sheffer puppy on his table! He was so CUTE!!! And it melted my heart when I saw stiles cuddle and play with him!!! He picked the dog up and kissed it on it's forehead and asked me if I wanted to hold it. I nodded my head and just couldn't wipe the smile off my face!! The puppy looked at me and licked my nose! It was so adorable!! Then I put the puppy on the table again and Dayton injected it with something.
Hannah: "will the puppy live?!?!"
Dayton: "yes But i have to nurse it for a while because hi didn't have a family before. But you didn't come here because of a puppy did you?"
Hannah: "no we came to ask you questions about this neckless I found."
Dayton: "is this the object?"
Hannah: "that's what we think!"
Dayton: "ok I'll take a look at it"
I hand him the neckless and he walks to a table with lots of stuff on it. He takes a big book out of the shelf above him and puts it on the table and starts looking for something.
Dayton: "this is a book with a lot of supernatural things and I think I might have seen the neckless in it.
This might take a while."
Me and Stiles waited in the lobby and talked about a lot including animals! We both love animals so we could talk about them for hours!
But then Dayton came and told us that he had found something about the neckless.
Dayton: "it's a neckless keepers have protected for centuries. Including you're grandparents! The story says that it holds the power to make a person or anything immortal, and make the dead rise again!
You better watch it carefully because that power is not good in the hands of the evil!!"
I just nodded my head. I was to stressed to do anything else. Having to protect something that might kill the human raise if I fail to protect it is quite a lot of pressure! Stiles saw that i was pretty stressed about it and said that I don't have to feel any pressure because I only have to keep the neckless safe and that I have a whole pack of wolves and friends to protect me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. We went to Derek to tell him what Dayton said. Derek knew that now he had to help protect the neckless. Well at least if I he didn't want this world to end. Stiles took me home and asked if I wanted a ride to school the next day. of course I wanted to!! When I got inside I saw that dad wasn't there. He is usually here by six! I guess he had a late shift.
I sat in the sofa and turned on the tv. I watched it for about 20 minuets until I started hearing a lot of sounds! I turned off the tv to hear them better and to know where they come from. They came from the basement! I slowly walked down the basement stairs. I saw it the door was there! It was bigger! And it had a sign on it! It was like the one on my neckless the same size and everything! What if I put the neckless on the sign and... When I put the neckless on the sign it fit perfectly and the door opened! I walked inside. It was a small room,
and there were so many claw marks on the walls!! In the middle of the room was a book stand and a big probably really old book. I walked towards it and opened it. There was almost nothing written in it. Only the first page had something written on it. It said:
"When you're ready..."
I don't get it, when I'm ready for what?!?! UGH!! Stupid book!
I heard that dad was home. I closed the door as quickly as I could because I wasn't suppose to tell him anything!!! I saw it on his face that he wanted to ask me a lot of questions like why I was in the basement and where I was the other night, but he didn't ask me anything. He was to tired and the only thing he said was hi sweetie and then he walked upstairs and fell asleep. Wow it's 11pm!! I must have been at least 3 hours down there!!! Well so I better go to sleep!!
